Ultimate bacon sandwich?

I've just made the perfect bacon roll.

• Buttered, hot ciabatta roll cut and lightly toasted under the grill.
• Quality bacon perfectly cooked (not burnt but fat crispy)
• Mayonnaise and ketchup.

Fucking hell that was good.

Warburtons Toastie bread (or Thickest, in the green packet, if I’m feeling decadent!)

Smoked back bacon, cooked until the fat is crispy

Salted butter

Brown sauce

Perfection!

Brown sauce? That's for sausages, surely?

Bagel, lightly toasted
Bacon (all fat removed - ugh, ugh, ugh) fried
Chilli cheese melted on top

Or

Bacon, Brie and cranberry panini

Yum sounds good.
Mine would be
White farm house bread
Good quality butter
Farm shop back bacon grilled
No other addidtives required although fried egg is acceptable

I love anything sweet and salty. This isn't strictly just a bacon sarnie though:

-soft bread like warburtons, chilli jam, crispy bacon and avocado.

Buttered sub roll
Thick cut back bacon
Home made coleslaw
Generously seasoned with salt and pepper.
Yum 😋

Streaky bacon, crispy.

Fluffy white bread with salty butter.

Avocado.

Bacon. Brie. Rocket. Cranberry sauce. French stick/ crusty white roll - tiger works well.

Coleslaw is an interesting addition to a bacon sandwich. I'll definitely try that.

Fresh Warburton's toastie, crispy grilled back bacon x 3, and five sliced mushrooms fried in butter. So good!

Bleugh, no. Ketchup is for sausages.

Maybe it’s a Scottish thing? Brown sauce is totally normal for a bacon roll, although I’ve noticed more people having ketchup since moving to the west coast.

No no. No no. You're all doing it wrong.

Fresh bread, untoasted, no butter. Crispy bacon. Let fat soak into bread. Drizzle of brown sauce. Slice of bread put on top.

Don't scrimp on the bacon, at least six rashers of smoked back.

Bacon sandwiches work best when kept simple. Good quality, white bread, proper butter, dry cured free range bacon with crispy fat and ketchup. I'll let you have brown sauce but I agree it's for sausages.

Brown sauce shouldn't be used on anything and yuk @ crispy bacon.
