We mess about a lot with each other at home, too, but if anyone was to observe us they wouldn’t see any of the body language and facial expressions that we see in this video clip. It’s very unpleasant to watch.

That first video makes me want to cry for some reason she starts off all happy and bubbley gets elbowed then look at her eyes. I have felt that look before. It's humiliation and a broken spirit. I have always felt there was something off about him. Even if that is joking it looked like it hurt and its majorly disrespectful to his wife. He's a cunt in my opinion.

I’m not going to watch these videos if they are as uncomfortable as they sound . Having been in an abusive relationship myself I don’t want to actively seek out watching something that might be upsetting. However, reading this thread has made be curious about MNHQs legal position here ...people actively calling someone an abuser based on this evidence? Surprised we haven’t had an MNHQ warning yet or maybe it’s not a risk?

That second video is rather worrying. Look at his face, he’s got serious rage. Jaw clenched and everything, he goes to cross his arms but then remembers he’s on camera.

The first one is also scary. Quite a hard elbow to her I think. You can see for a few seconds afterwards her face- she’s going through the motions but her smile isn’t reaching her eyes.

Also she interprets a message from one of her fans, saying she is beautiful, funny or something complimentary, and he says 'really, is that really what it says?' In disbelief, as if he's done the whole number on her, of nobody else would ever want her, find her attractive etc.

Not nice to watch. When I first saw this on the Daily Fail I was expecting to think they were overreacting, like when they say there has been an awkward exchange on a chat show and it’s clearly a joke when you watch it.

It’s actually like watching his mask slip and he realises ‘shit, this is live’ so he tries to make a joke of it. He looks genuinely angry when she talks over him and the jab was pure instinct. He then tries to make it look a bit better by pulling her towards him then putting his arms round her as if it’s a joke. He looks panicked, he knows he’s been caught out.

On legalities, given that Michael himself has said that he has a terrible temper, is angry and aggressive and has, in the past, not treated women well, I’m not sure he has a case against people for noticing the fact that he got angry, and aggressive, and wasn’t that nice to his wife.

Disagree that it appears to be abusive behaviour all you want, but all this 'people see abuse everywhere' bollocks is, well, bollocks.

Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it's not there and therefore people should 'stop', any more than the fact that others clearly do see it means that's definitely what it is. People are allowed to discuss their opinions and the fact that this makes them uncomfortable without being told to shut up because you don't like what they have to say or be insulted and told they're seeing things when they dare highlight that actually, this is exactly what their abuse looked like.
