I have a roast on the go and the DCs are playing a card game in the living room. The baby is playing quietly on the play mat for once. All is calm. What’s going on in your house?

I'm relaxing with a glass of wine , dh watching millionaire, dc on their phones .
It's nice to just chill , I must admit not missing the early morning starts and the commutes to work, trying to fit everything in the day .

peaceanddove · 12/04/2020 20:00

I spent most of the afternoon relaxing in the garden and getting a nice, light tan. DH was out working and the teens were in a chocolate induced coma in their rooms so it was very peaceful.

Right now DH is on his laptop. I'm prone on the sofa feeling a bit sick after chowing down a Bourneville Easter egg and accompanying bar of chocolate. Can hear the teens moving about upstairs and the sounds of distant grime music and lots of laughing, not sure but think they might have dyed each others hair with food dye Hmm

TellySavalashairbrush · 12/04/2020 20:13

The hedge trimmer blew up in smoke while i was in the middle of trimming the front hedge, so I had to abandon it and eat chocolate eggs instead. Now watching Andrea Bottchelli singing in Milan on Italian tv. He looks very unwell . Poor man.

Smellbellina · 12/04/2020 20:15

What’s wrong with Andrea?!!

lucysmam · 12/04/2020 20:27

Dd1 is swishing about with her blue hair & has just made me a cup of tea. She's gone upstairs to listen to a musical & facetime her friends.

Dd2 is playing Minecraft & eating chocolate...all whilst talking to herself constantly.

I'm on here, will have a nosey at fb in a bit and then settle down with my book & some chocolate :)

Equimum · 12/04/2020 20:28

We’ve had a chilled out day around the house. Kids had cartoons this morning, then the Easter bunny came while they were in the bath. After the egg hunt, DH cooked a lovely roast, which we ate in the garden. Later on, we had a water fight, spoke to relatives etc, and DS1 is now being allowed to watch the second HP film, while DS2 is in bed (huge treat).

Ruddle91 · 12/04/2020 20:39

DC is asleep, I've practiced piano for an hour now chilling in bed with a glass of wine.

AliasGrape · 12/04/2020 20:44

We had a massive fry up for breakfast (well it was lunchtime really) and weren’t hungry again so just picked at a few snacks then shared an Easter egg. I had some sad news today, have a bit of a headache and am generally pregnant/ tired so have come to bed with an ovaltine and a book but got distracted by mumsnet. DH is playing a game online with one of his mates. Dog is snoring loudly at the foot of the bed.

spinthebottle · 12/04/2020 20:52

Hope you are okay @AliasGrape Flowers. The DC are now in bed and we’re waiting for the nest with a glass of wine. It’s all been very chilled today here!

DD1 is reading in bed, DH is sitting by DD2's bed reading on his kindle, DD2 is probably pissing about not going to sleep, I am procrastinating about doing the ironing/ wasting time on the internet/ wondering if there will be many ubers about at 7am on a bank holiday to take me to work or if the bus is a better plan.

ellabella18 · 12/04/2020 21:02

DS2 and Dd asleep, teenage DS1 watching tv in his room. Dh and I tidying the kitchen from earlier's roast, pouring ourselves a drink and getting ready to get in the hot tub Smile

Bacardi101 · 12/04/2020 21:07

DD4 has fallen asleep cuddled up with DD6 in her bed will leave them both there as they look adorable all cuddled up together as normally they are trying to kill each other! Going to get into bed soon with a cuppa and some mini eggs and watch trash on Netflix

derxa · 12/04/2020 22:49

Our last lamb is out but it was touch and go. Lots of swinging and a dose of colostrum.

frumpety · 13/04/2020 09:18

derxa got any lovely pictures of your lambs to share ? Smile

JonHammIsMyJamm · 13/04/2020 09:26

Morning all.

Congratulations @derxa. I’m not a farmer but grew up in a sheep farming community (during lambing my school was always half empty as pupils and teachers were off helping with lambing Smile), so I recognise some of the stress and knackeredness that comes with the season.

This morning in the HammHouse, DH is on the treadmill. Teen is still in bed. I’m at the kitchen table with a cup of tea, waiting for a cake to finish baking (just a little chocolate loaf jobby). The dog is asleep at my feet.

dyscalculicgal96 · 13/04/2020 09:53

Everyone is awake. We have been up since half seven. Today is a rainy day so probably no walk.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 13/04/2020 09:57

DH at work
DDs doing Cosmic Yoga after PE with Joe
I'm just jumping in shower after doing an exercise DVD and PE with Joe (and eating breakfast)

Kim82 · 13/04/2020 10:05

Ds is at work, dh is cooking something, dd1 (15) is upstairs in her room sulking as she’s just had a strop because we asked her to empty the bin she had filled up, dd2 (12) is still asleep I think as I’ve not seen her yet today. Dd3 (5) is sitting with me watching Beauty and the Beast whilst eating toast.

It’s nice, quiet and relaxed at the moment. It won’t last.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 13/04/2020 10:05

Dh is making another cuppa for us both.Ds is playing.Waiting for asda delivery to arrive.

TheChosenTwo · 13/04/2020 10:10

Right now dh is in the shower after getting up early to put out the bins and having a few cups of tea.
I’m putting some washing away.
Ds is in his room playing with Lego.
Dds are both asleep.
Soon I’ll go and make some breakfast for ds and myself, then dh is getting on with some decorating. I’ll go out with all the kids for a walk around midday.

BearSoFair · 13/04/2020 10:12

I'm looking at ordering trainers online (essential, my current ones have started leaking through the sole!)
DH is browsing on his tablet
DS1 (18) is still in his room but I can hear him so know he's awake
DD (12) is looking through some of my old baking magazines to see if anything catches her eye
DS2 (10) is 'training' the cat Grin (Trying to get her to jump through his arms to get a treat. Cat is looking at him with great judgement)

Mammabear31 · 13/04/2020 10:13

I've just had a bacon sandwich, DS(6) is playing sonic, DS(1) is playing with sticklebricks and DH is showering. Lazy bank holiday!

PaddyF0dder · 13/04/2020 10:17

Autistic 5 year old is bouncing up and down the hallway, chatting to himself about paddling pools.

2 year old (twin A) is bashing a wooden train set with a wooden hammer.

Twin B is asking for Paw Patrol. Repeatedly. In a whining manner.

ohmysoul · 13/04/2020 10:20

DD was up at 4 this morning for some unknown reason and has just fallen asleep on me so I'm putting her in her bed in a minute, then I'll be making a cup of tea and cleaning the bathroom and loos. I imagine DH is either working or doing a job which he sees as essential but is actually just rearranging the shed again.

paradisefalls · 13/04/2020 10:28

I'm laying on the sofa (again) exdp is cooking bacon sandwiches. DD's 18 and 15 are still in bed, DD's 5 and 3 are watching frozen 2. It's cold and windy here today so it's just gonna be a chilled day for us and probably no walk. I'm thinking board games and chocolate.
