It looks like a cute name. 😇

I think squid is a lovely name.

ALongHardWinter · 09/04/2020 23:52

Or how about Amoeba? Or Tadpole?

PickAChew · 09/04/2020 23:53

No.

DS has a stuffed amardillo. And a Komodo dragon. And many other obscure animals. All of which are called by their species name. So it's not completely unheard of...

P.S. Thank you for the madness. It's a pleasant change from the "my neighbour dared to breath in their own garden" threads.

morecoffeerequired · 10/04/2020 00:07

I rather like Effarig.

Fruitdeleloop · 10/04/2020 00:09

This is outing but i knew an armadillo at school and he was called dildo from year 8 onwards 😳 not by me, I hasten to add.

Checkyspeck · 10/04/2020 00:09

Please don’t. He’ll have the crap kicked out of him for his entire school life!

Mascotte · 10/04/2020 00:09

Yes. Although I prefer Anteater. A sibling for Decanter.

Marcipex · 10/04/2020 00:13

Mantaray is great, little Manny can play with Sonny.

CeriseClementine · 10/04/2020 00:14

Please don’t.

@SoccerMomLauren
If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
What would we call endless repetition?
What is the definition of madness.....

BringMeSunshineInMyLife · 10/04/2020 00:30

Oooh I like Komodo, that would go well with my little Salamander (we call him Mander or Sander)

Samtsirch · 10/04/2020 00:31

Please let them go back to school soon....

Fishfingersandwichplease · 10/04/2020 00:37

Sorry just makes me think of the Dime bar advert that Harry Enfield was in a gazillion years ago

Devlesko · 10/04/2020 00:47

Aardvark would obviously be cooler than any other name.
Remember the very famous one who had a very cool, friend Grin
Ardy for short, you'll start a trend.

HappydaysArehere · 10/04/2020 00:59

Is this a joke. I hope so.

Lozz22 · 10/04/2020 01:10

In years to come he'll be known as 'I'm a dildo' Grin

Queenest · 10/04/2020 01:25

Smellycat

Rubybluesy · 10/04/2020 01:30

Serious?

PerkyPomPoms · 10/04/2020 05:21

Why bother with a boring name like that when you could call your child Balonz or Data.

joystir59 · 10/04/2020 05:28

Aardvark is edgier

Lynda07 · 11/04/2020 08:22

joystir, Aardvark is very good but what about Wildebeest?

Lynda07 · 11/04/2020 08:23

PerkyPomPoms, 'Google' is better.

Plornish · 11/04/2020 08:32

I’ve got a Pangolin.
(Her name is Peggy.)

EmmaGrundyForPM · 11/04/2020 08:42

I have a friend whose son is called Tiger and there is a teenager up the road who is called Fox so I guess technically Animal names are ok. Although it might be like flower names - Rose, Iris, Lily = lovely names, daffodil, gladioli, geranium = mockery
