What do you see that you don’t understand or find odd??

For me it’s the fake bricked up windows on new builds.

What are they all about? I see loads of them

I saw a sign in a window which said Wash Your Hands. And Don't Be A Racist.

theskyispurple · 11/04/2020 08:13

I have a strange urge to put my life size cardboard Angel (from Buddy) in my window with a face mask on now... wonder if I’d spot any local miners? 😂

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 13/04/2020 16:32

Haha MNers. Thanks autocorrect.

OnceUponAMidnightBeery · 13/04/2020 16:32

And Buffy. This phone hates me.

An enormous Easter Island Head gazing out from a front garden and a polite no parking sign that appears to be in the style of a Corona 😷 face mask.

The Easter Island head would look quite cool hidden away in a huge garden.

A few weeks ago I was heading up to Marsden in Yorkshire to meet friends and go walking. The sat nav took me on a weirdly remote route, up and down massive hills on tiny windy lanes, a bit sketchy to be honest. Had to get down into first gear to get up one hill because it was so steep, and as I crested the top of the hill, I passed a garden on the left with the Extinction Rebellion boat in the back garden.

SlothRunner · 13/04/2020 21:09

There is a pub near me with a bricked up window, and they have painted it to look like Marilyn Monroe looking out of a real window.

House in nearby village also has a totem pole in the garden.

CathyorClaire · 13/04/2020 21:15

The Easter Island head is brilliant Smile

Houseinthemiddle · 13/04/2020 22:17

A dolls head, just the head, concreted into the garden border in front of the house.

Utterly freaked me out

Sennetti · 13/04/2020 23:08

Why?? A dolls head? That’s straight out of a horror film!

Years ago there was a house had an Elvis figure looking out of the window.
It was replaced by a sign that said 'Elvis has left the building' shortly before they moved. No idea where Elvis went, this was long before the internet.

In Shiplake, there's a model railway with station alongside the footpath

@Ariela

Is that your flicka account? The link you posted shows someone's name and if you scroll through someone's photo eating a cheeseboard.

Lots of people built benders to live in at Greenham Common

Thanks @Chottie!

Have just remembered a house in a nearby road has a massive wooden owl by the front door. Huge. Probably at least five foot tall. Must have been quite expensive and all I've ever wondered is how it got on their must -have list.

Shosha1 · 14/04/2020 11:20

@Aroundtheworldin80moves on the plain by any chance 😁

Ariela · 14/04/2020 13:35

@blablablablablablabla Not mine, I just googled for a photo & copied the link.

Yesterday I saw a magpie hacking away at a little mouse, the bird then took it in it's mouth and flew away!
