Is basically a group of mates getting drunk together via Skype....and there's nothing wrong with that Smile

Agree, it's rather sweet.

Makeitgoaway · 03/04/2020 21:28

Apart from Steph, she's doing her best to stay professional

Flibbertyjibbit · 03/04/2020 21:31

It's been brilliant tonight, but also brought it home how real this all is now Sad

MrsCastiel · 03/04/2020 21:31

It's stilted (I'm onlu just tuning in) but it isn't totally dissimilar to the rather rusty pub quiz I was made to participate in on Monday night. Only difference being their WiFi connections are clearly superior to mine as I kept going offline.

maddiemookins16mum · 03/04/2020 21:33

It doesn’t work.

AppleKatie · 03/04/2020 21:41

It was really creaky and awkward, loads of it fell flat.

thejoysofboys · 03/04/2020 21:43

They tried, but I don’t think it worked without the audience and the banter.
I thought Steph did really well to keep it going and fill the audience gaps.

MrsEsss · 03/04/2020 21:44

It's not the same without an audience to bounce off. I love that they're giving it a go, though 😁

Makeitgoaway · 03/04/2020 21:46

Weren't they all sozzled, except Steph? Who DH is in love with, but I quite like that.

IsolaPribby · 03/04/2020 21:46

I thought it was great. Ian especially looked like he was really enjoying having a laugh.

I think they did their best in the circumstances, and I laughed throughout.

AppleKatie · 03/04/2020 21:51

Steph did do well- she’s very talented.

My DH also loves her. Which is marginally less weird than his crush on Maddie Moate Hmm

Cheguevarahamster · 03/04/2020 21:51

Loved it. They did fantastically well. Most surreal episode since tub of lard.

PickAChew · 03/04/2020 21:54

It was a bit awkward but I love that they've done this.

Endless repeats are going to get a bit old by June.

vinoandbrie · 03/04/2020 21:55

They did well. Good on them. Hope they keep going for in the weeks to come.

BikeRunSki · 03/04/2020 22:00

I thought it was great. Chaotic and clunky, but that’s how things are now, good effort bbc.

willowpatterns · 03/04/2020 22:03

Drat, missed it.

Is it being repeated?

Dogsaresomucheasier · 03/04/2020 22:08

I was never so happy to see my colleagues as our online meeting yesterday, all blinking and confused to be with people and not very productive. It was very sweet to watch them.

Nameynamechangeforthis · 03/04/2020 22:12

Loved - it wasn't perfect, but nothing is right now.

And it was kind of comforting to see them in the same boat.

Mysterian · 03/04/2020 22:12

Interesting. Paul in particular needs a live audience. He does like to play to the crowd. I don't think they should do a whole series like it.

Makeitgoaway · 03/04/2020 22:14

willowpatterns it will be in iplayer

OP posts:
thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:15

What are you all watching??

Oldbutstillgotit · 03/04/2020 22:18

I thought it was awful ; stilted and unfunny . Love Ian and Paul but this simply didn’t work.

DGRossetti · 03/04/2020 22:19

They really need to find a way to get the sound equalised.

But considering it wasn't want anyone must have trained for, the editing wasn't half bad.

Better than feared. Kids will just grow up with it.

CustardySergeant · 03/04/2020 22:20

thequeenbeyondthewall this

BarbarAnna · 03/04/2020 22:21

I thought it was good. Bit cringe in places but it was fun to see them do it like that - really brings home that we are all in the same boat!
