Is basically a group of mates getting drunk together via Skype....and there's nothing wrong with that Smile

I thought it worked really well considering the times we're in. A reflection of how it is for all of us.

@thequeenbeyondthewall Have I Got News For You

Dp and I had wondered if they were going to change the set so that team mates were sitting 2 metres away from each other. Instead there wete screens where everyone would normally sit. They were all doing it remotely from home.

StSaulOfSnacks · 03/04/2020 22:23

Pretty dire, with a few funny moments and Steph was great.

Janaih · 03/04/2020 22:23

I'm almost intrigued to watch it now!

franke · 03/04/2020 22:27

I really liked that they tried. It was the best they could do under the circs. I hope they keep it going. It's comforting.

Haffdonga · 03/04/2020 22:28

I thought they warmed up. It was funny in parts.

Balloonsandbunting · 03/04/2020 22:31

I couldn’t watch more than the first few minutes. I hoped it would cheer me up, but I actually found it incredibly depressing.

eddiemairswife · 03/04/2020 22:33

I thought it was pretty poor.

timetest · 03/04/2020 22:38

I thought it worked well.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 03/04/2020 22:39

I thought it warmed up but what was definitely missing was audience reaction. Maybe a group of 200 or so in a virtual audience zoom style?

JudyCoolibar · 03/04/2020 22:40

I enjoyed it even though it suffered a bit from the lack of a studio audience. But that was made up for by other elements like the banter around the background in their houses, and little moments like someone furniture shifting above Miles Jupp. I wonder how the hell Mrs J managed to keep five children quiet during the recording?

thenightsky · 03/04/2020 22:40

I thought it was great and they really came across well. Hope they do it again next week.

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 22:40

Thank you 😊

Nonnymum · 03/04/2020 22:41

I liked it. It was odd but I think it worked in a weird way and looking forward to seeing it next week.

Natsku · 03/04/2020 22:58

Just watched it on iplayer. It was so strange and Paul and Ian looked so old, though I haven't watched regularly in a few years so maybe they've been looking old for a while but webcams certainly aren't flattering. Made me laugh and smile though, which I am glad for.

Hippee · 03/04/2020 23:01

I laughed more than usual. Yes, it was clunky, but I thought Helen Lewis was hilarious.

Ranguski · 03/04/2020 23:04

willowpatterns it’s on BBC iPlayer now. Just watched it..needed the laugh.

PigletJohn · 03/04/2020 23:16

fine sturdy woman, that steph.

i might watch it with the sound off.

MrsCastiel · 03/04/2020 23:19

I liked that they were genuinely laughing at each other's jokes.

ssd · 03/04/2020 23:24

I liked it, it was funny

Steph was great.

PigletJohn · 03/04/2020 23:28

Tigresswoods · 03/04/2020 23:31

Good effort & id rather it was on in this format than not on at all

chocatoo · 03/04/2020 23:34

Loved it and I too found it comforting. I hope the keep going.

RJnomore1 · 03/04/2020 23:38

panicstationsready · 03/04/2020 23:40

I'm with oldbuttillgotit - It really didn't work - but then I can't stand Steph McGovern...
