Sod it. I've had a crap and difficult day and the thought of many more like this make me want to scream.

Anyone joining me??

I've already had 3 gins:

1 with asda's own lilt (which is nicer than the real thing)
1 with lemonade and orange syrup
1 with lemonade and cherry syrup

Contemplating another one with lemonade and cherry syrup next.

Fedupandpoor · 03/04/2020 18:02

I have a beer! Cheers everyone! 🍻

soupforbrains · 03/04/2020 18:45

Couldn’t decide whether I wanted gin, wine or a cocktail so I poured myself one of each.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

soupforbrains · 03/04/2020 20:37

Every time I post I seem to kill this thread 🤦‍♀️

thequeenbeyondthewall · 03/04/2020 21:13

Pre mixed porn star martini. It's gorgeous.

FrenchBoule · 03/04/2020 21:26

Haha @soupforbrains not this time 🙂
Waiting for my kids to go to sleep so could open a bottle of something!

soupforbrains · 04/04/2020 17:41

So... what time is ok to start then do we think?

And is it different on weekdays and weekends?

I’m inclined to say 4pm weekdays and lunchtime weekends? But obviously there are acceptable extenuating circumstances e.g. emotional distress, physical distress, special occasions etc...

gerbo · 04/04/2020 17:49

I think 4 at weekends. We just had a lovely g&t in the garden in the last of the sun (in our back yard- I know it's still out) and then finished the last of the fizz from last night.

I may have e a second gin after my omelette tea too- living the dream.

soupforbrains · 04/04/2020 17:58

@gerbo but that would mean. I wine with roast dinners etc. We always eat our main meal at lunchtime at the weekend.

delilahbucket · 04/04/2020 18:01

I had already started 15 minutes prior to you. Unfortunately I'm sharing with dp as his beer delivery was halved by Sainsbury's today with broken bottles ☹️.

delilahbucket · 04/04/2020 18:05

Didn't even notice the date for the OP 🤦 too much wine already 😂

mbosnz · 04/04/2020 18:36

Back to the Ned. Wine o'clock tends to be when we lurch to the kitchen after watching the news. . .

soupforbrains · 04/04/2020 21:30

Sounds fair @mbosnz I think in this time that counts as emotional distress

Ijustcameforthecomments · 04/04/2020 23:09

Front line NHS here (off shift). Wine was planned, chilled and opened at 5pm. Its delicious

soupforbrains · 04/04/2020 23:15

Hard earned and well deserved @Ijustcameforthecomments

Ijustcameforthecomments · 05/04/2020 00:58

Thank you @soupforbrains
It's been a very long week

TreacherousPissFlap · 05/04/2020 01:06

We have been extremely responsible and wait for it to be 5 o'clock before drinking. Have had to persuade DH that is 5 o'clock here and not "5 o'clock somewhere in the world" but aside from that we're doing fine Grin
