Sod it. I've had a crap and difficult day and the thought of many more like this make me want to scream.

mbosnz · 02/04/2020 17:38

I'm already there. . . crack open a glass with the beginning of the two hour depression session that is the BBC briefing from Downing Street, and then the news. . .

bluebell94 · 02/04/2020 17:39

I would love to join you if I wasn't pregnant, I could demolish a big glass of red! Weekly shop tomorrow, must try and hunt out a nice non alcoholic wine...

fussychica · 02/04/2020 17:40

Unfortunately it's only Thursday. No drinking for me until tomorrow Sad. But don't you worry about me you just go ahead and enjoy a lovely glass of wineGrin

Curiousmum69 · 02/04/2020 17:43

My naked wine box just arrived.. I'll join you. I'm done. Sulking a bit that I should be jetting off on holiday tomorrow instead I'm sad and alone and running out of motivation to get out of bed.

spinthebottle · 02/04/2020 17:44

I was going to start this exact thread at 5 PM but decided against it but I did open the wine and I’m on my second glass! Cheers! Has been a shit week. Wine

Isitrainingihadntnoticed · 02/04/2020 17:45

I had a booze sesh last night, work sent me home early as im owed time in lieu.

i hardly drink in the week either.

Thou shall not have a drink tonight. but tomorrow.

Fedupandpoor · 02/04/2020 17:48

Still feeling a bit iffy after last night's glass turned into an entire bottle Blush

It's a huge injustice that my alcohol tolerance is high but my ability to handle a hangover is not.

whatnow40 · 02/04/2020 17:57

Joining in. Key worker here, finished at 10pm last night, back in shift for 7.30am. No lunch or breaks, just trying to work through every person I'm responsible for as best I can. I'm so so very tired and just seen today's numbers. It's heartbreaking. And it's still so early on in our fight. Today is the first day I've wanted to cry. I won't though. Wine

Ciderandskatesdontmix · 02/04/2020 18:00

I'll partake in solidarity. Just finished our first self-isolation stint due to a coughing feverish toddler. Went to the supermarket as we were out of just about everything, it was so quiet and eerie... I was glad to come home despite having been stuck here for 2 weeks!

MollysMummy2010 · 02/04/2020 18:03

MollysMummy2010 · 02/04/2020 18:04

LostaraYil · 02/04/2020 18:10

I had a bottle in the fridge that DH opened yesterday to make risotto. I might as well drink it, or it'll go off! 🥂

mbosnz · 02/04/2020 18:14

Kia kaha (keep strong), aroha nui (much love)

And hang in there baby puppy.

mbosnz · 02/04/2020 18:14

And deity on a crutch, if you want to cry, cry. It's healthy.

Mojitomogul · 02/04/2020 18:15

I'm already on my second gin!!! Woop Grin

Apolloanddaphne · 02/04/2020 18:38

I had 12 bottles of wine delivered this afternoon by our location wine shop. Just cracked open a bottle. Gotta keep supporting those local businesses!

NightOwl19 · 02/04/2020 18:44

soupforbrains jealous of 3 bottles of gin! Which did you buy?

G3ntlemanJack · 02/04/2020 18:45

Oh I've found my people! To answer some questions:

During lockdown all previous drinking rules are suspended.

Any alcohol you have to hand is perfect. Unless it's neat absinthe and even then it's worth considering.

You don't need to have a reason to drink. Lockdown is enough.

Cheers everyone! My DP doesn't drink so I'm glad you lot do! 😂

You can tell how overwrought and emotional I am by how much Te Reo I start whacking in there. . . Grin)
