What disappointments have you faced today? (lighthearted)

Tonight i had a bath with a glass of wine and a bowl of peanuts. I knocked the peanuts into the bath and spent the rest of my time in the water fishing them out.

Heartily disappointed. You?

Got up this morning and thought the babies had given me a lie in...
no the clocks have changed haven't they 😂

My feelings on the matter may be tempered by the fact that it was a sizeable bowl and I'd had quite a few before said incident smile

Then your loss is possibly too great to bear, since you had time to become fond of the peanuts before the fickle finger of fate pointed bonily at them. As Burns said,

Not last night but Friday decided we would have a nice takeaway after a week of cooking /preparing food for constantly hungry kids and dh while also working....I was really looking forward to it. The place we were going to get food from was closed because of Corona 😭 and to make it worse we are moving this week (hopefully!!) And this would have been our last meal from that place. So ended up having to cook as most other places were closed too😭.

That's a let down Squiglet. I hope the move goes ahead smoothly and you find a fabulous new takeaway

All out of dark chocolate digestives. O rage! O desespoir!

Would normally have a lovely beach ride, but my horse is in the field for however long this lockdown is on. Can't even go up to see her, but at Least they are taking hay up to the field each day.

Not today but a couple of days ago.

Had a lot of jobs planned.

I had bought a brand new pressure washer. I used it for the first time for about 20 minutes the day before and it had done an amazing job.

Got it out the next day and it was dead. Completely broken.

Can’t take it back till after this is all over and ended up having to buy a new one and paying for delivery.

Then set up my new Ikea bed.

All went well till I came to fit the mid beam.

I had picked up one that only had one metal bit and not the other part that slid out so now I am living with a king size mattress on the floor and a shell of a king size bed with about 6” between to walk
I have taken to getting out of bed by crawling down the bottom of the mattress and getting out of bed from the end

Had to order another mid beam from ikea and pay for another delivery.

I have so many things that need returning

Got hailed on while walking the dog.

Have loads of good in but I don't want to eat it (cause I'm being bone idle and cba to cook and wash up)

Had a special event planned for next week which has now been cancelled.

Currently being unable to sleep.
I stayed up in the hope I might finally manage to get online delivery slot. They did not release any but managed to get click and collect... but then... i was put on standby for almost an hour while they staggered the users to their website.

Now i am wide awake worrying about an essential trip out tomorrow.

It's my birthday tomorrow I was looking forward to a night out because he been pregnant for 18 months more or less back to back 😂...
A day in with the kids won't be so bad I suppose

Pressure washer broke. I'd been psyching myself up to popping my jet wash cherry all week

It was my 50th birthday party bbq planned for today. Not only did I have to cancel but we had torrential rain for an hour too! I will not be turning 50 until I can celebrate properly.

Last week my graduation was cancelled.

Yesterday our holiday for my 30th birthday next month was cancelled.

Today I made my dinner and as I sat down, the dog headbutted my arm and half of my food fell on the floor I suppose that’s one way to enforce portion control!
