What disappointments have you faced today? (lighthearted)

Tonight i had a bath with a glass of wine and a bowl of peanuts. I knocked the peanuts into the bath and spent the rest of my time in the water fishing them out.

I only had one potato left to go in my veggie curry (had left the one in case I got the urge for a jacket potato).

But it was OK really - had loads of other random veg.

DH forgot to do my birthday cake despite me hiding upstairs to give him and DD ample opportunity.

I'm disappointed in myself.
I was definitely going for a walk with the dc today and I was going to be invigorated by the fresh air and be really productive and get lots done. I was also going to cook a roast chicken.

The dc have spent the whole day in pj's and I've spent the day on the sofa mostly scrolling Facebook and Mumsnet and we had chicken nuggets and chips for tea

I'm a disappointment

Not so lighthearted but I found one of my rescue chickens dead tonight. She was an ex battery hen and the loveliest of creatures. I am quite sad indeed, I also have no chocolate and not enough wine for this situation

Bought pop up pirate for dd2. Its blatantly obvious which holes are the triggers. I feel cheated.

Really fancied some sesame snaps as a treat, only to find out I'd eaten the last pack about 3 weeks ago and hadn't gotten around to buying any more.
I'm gutted.

Well Fork, I'd had a few so the craving was sated (but I was obviously very disappointed by the situation). I'd say your situation is worse and I feel for you. Get them on the shopping list
