At ANY of the major supermarkets? Ocado emailed me to say as I'm an anytime pass plus customer, I would get priority booking - been stuck in a "paused" online queue since 11am this morning. Have checked every single day with all other major supermarkets and nada. Is there a secret or are there literally just no slots available.

No alcohol to be had in our supermarket. Stripped bare.

Wow! Where do you liveConfused there’s tonnes in our shops.

Sexnotgender · 28/03/2020 15:44

My DH was told he wasn't allowed to buy 6 bottles of wine in Morrisons yesterday

Limit is 3 of any one item I think?

I ordered from an independent wine merchant.

We have always shopped on line every week so just booked my normal slots but saw they were becoming booked. I then had a months slots booked. I am also shopping for two sets of parents with underlying conditions.

Michelleoftheresistance · 28/03/2020 15:48

Keep checking Tescos at various times and have done for several days, no slots whatsoever in our area.

nicslackey · 28/03/2020 15:53

Sainsbury's message says I am not vulnerable so will not have any slots for us

CremeEggThief · 28/03/2020 19:06

Based on this thread, I checked Tesco last night, a couple of hours after there were no slots, and was amazed and delighted to discover they had added some for today!😍 I was really impressed, as the only things they didn't deliver were pasta and Gu desserts for tomorrow.

So thank you to the posters who suggested to keep checking, as extra deliveries are being added.Flowers

I actually had slot at Iceland at 3am and after the site crashed numerous times i lost my slot at 6am. Managed to log back in and all slots had gone. Phoned the helpline to be told no help can be provided as they have too many queries. Have not been able to get a slot since. Thanks Iceland

Crunchymum · 28/03/2020 19:23

@Nottalotta

I have a delivery pass, am on the vulnerable list (registered with the Gov.uk website as well) and I haven't received any emails from Sainsburys!! I mean none at all, not even the generic ones from the CEO? Definitely have the right email address registered etc....

Are you saying that Sainsbury emailed you to tell you as someone with a delivery pass, you can have a slot??? Shock

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/03/2020 19:25

@Crunchymum yes, that's right. Do you normally get emails when you order? Have you checked spam?

Sexnotgender · 28/03/2020 19:27

Got my Asda delivery and it was missing things that were on the receipt 😏 after nearly 40 minutes on hold they said they would try and get me the missing items tonight.

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/03/2020 19:29

@Crunchymum- the email that came

Thank you for bearing with us.

As you know, over the last few days we have been focusing our efforts on giving our elderly and vulnerable customers access to online delivery slots. Our Careline is working flat out to give these customers priority access to delivery slots. There is far more demand for these slots than our Careline team is able to process and we are doing our best to allocate as many slots to vulnerable customers as we can every day.

While we process the high volume of calls, we have some slots available that we are not able to give to these customers. In the short term we are now offering spare slots to Delivery Pass customers. Thank you for your patience as we work through the unprecedented level of demand for online deliveries.

You can now log on as normal to book a slot. Please bear in mind that you'll be able to make a maximum of one order between now and Monday 30 March.

Book a delivery

Please keep trying

If you can't get a slot straight away, please keep trying. We'll continue to make slots available where we can.

We're hoping to make more slots available in future weeks, but we may need to review this in order to continue to support more vulnerable customers in the community. We hope you understand.

Working together

This week we'll receive the government database which tells us everyone in the UK who the government considers to be vulnerable. Where these people are registered with us, we'll start to write to them next week to offer a delivery slot.

Home delivery is a very small part of the grocery market and we would ask communities to work together on this issue. If you're able to go into store to shop, we would be grateful if you could also think about shopping for someone locally who might be struggling to do their own shopping.

What to do if you need more help

Please take a look at thelatest information about how we're responding to COVID-19.

Best wishes

@Nottalotta
Yes always get the emails when I order (weekly!). Always get the email the day of the order with the receipt / list of subs etc.

My work use Sainsburys and they (it's a generic "admin" address I'm on) got the CEO message but I never did?

I got CEO message from Asda (used once) and Tesco (not used for circa 5 years) but absolutely nothing from the supermarket I've used weekly for past 2 years at least.

Crunchymum · 28/03/2020 19:33

Thanks for that @Nottalotta

Wonder if it's due to location? Although as I say I seem to have fallen through the cracks with regards to any communication (not in junk or spam, I did check!)

Sparrowlegs248 · 28/03/2020 19:34

@Crunchymum it's worth it to keep checking back, I couldn't get through on the link, but logged in as normal and there were slots there.

pinkandblue15 · 28/03/2020 19:37

Sainsbury's has slots open yesterday morning for all of today and tomorrow. I didn't book because I didn't want to take a slot from someone who needed it, however I'm now thinking it was a glitch in the system as their website now says all slots are for people identified as elderly or vulnerable.

WhatICallMyUsername · 28/03/2020 21:03

@Crunchymum it's definitely worth keeping a check as I'd already booked a slot a few hours before I got an email telling me they were open for delivery pass holders

daisypond · 28/03/2020 21:06

Sainsbury's has slots open yesterday morning for all of today and tomorrow
In your area.

pinkandblue15 · 28/03/2020 21:08

It was early in the morning 7am ish, and they were not live for long. I believe it was a glitch.

Chrisinthemorning · 28/03/2020 21:58

I got one of those Sainsbury’s slots too and sent it to my parents.
I wondered how I managed it!
Told them to ring and try and get set up for future as they are over 70 and self isolating.

PowerslidePanda · 28/03/2020 22:06

We are neither shielding nor delivery pass, but earlier this evening we could see Sainsbury's slots for the next few days, and PILs area also had them. But we didn't attempt to book one, so who knows if it would have actually worked.

StrawberryTarts · 28/03/2020 22:38

just got an Ocado delivery for 11th April. Been in the ‘priority’ zone fir 48 hours refreshing regularly. Suddenly 8th-11tj appeared bit within 2 minutes maybe, only 11th was available and then the slots were gone. Crazy times.
