Has anyone actually managed to get a cocking food delivery slot?

At ANY of the major supermarkets? Ocado emailed me to say as I'm an anytime pass plus customer, I would get priority booking - been stuck in a "paused" online queue since 11am this morning. Have checked every single day with all other major supermarkets and nada. Is there a secret or are there literally just no slots available.

I'll give that a go. Badly need one, we've no food. Thankfully I had a brexit stash so had some tinned bits in.

I got one of those Sainsburys ones that were released to delivery pass holders - arrived today and felt like I'd won the lottery, although there were quite a few substitutions/omissions.

I'm hoping we get lucky like that again sometime, but not sure how likely it is.

Sainsbury’s are booked for weeks, but I went on at 5am when I woke up this morning and there was availability on Sunday, somehow? Just as well as we are in household isolation for 2 weeks.

I booked mine as BJ announced we were going in to Lockdown. I managed to do 3 weeks worth - so a week today is my last one and then I can’t get another one. In our defence, we shop online anyway and were on a 14day SI at that point too.

If we can’t get another one then so be it, we’ve benefitted the past couple of weeks so if I have to go to the supermarket then I will do.

I managed to get an Iceland one this afternoon for tomorrow.

I did an order with this place, they're delivering next week. They've got fruit and veg, a decent selection of herbs and some staples eg milk, cheese and bread and also - drum roll - toilet roll!!

We had Tesco slots booked for a few weeks before this all kicked off so we've got three more weeks of those, and then we have a recurring slot with Asda. Asda seem to be adding slots every day - when I get up with DD about 5.30/6 there are always slots available but gone when I look later.

I too got a Sunday Sainsbury's slot yesterday, I think they just released a few and we happened to click on to check just at the right time.

I had an email today to say some more had been released but when I popped on just to see how many there were (not actually to book one, was just curious) they had all gone and that was only about 50 minutes after the email arrived.

I don't have a delivery pass but have been having a weekly delivery for around 10 years now so I guess that probably registers on their system somehow.

I think you basically just have to be in the right place at the right time.

I've got a couple of Tesco slots booked and I noticed there are available slots nearly every day for the next two weeks

I'm shopping for 8 people, 7 in my household so I'm not happy about the limit

I had a Tesco delivery yesterday and got everything I ordered except toilet rolls!

I managed to get an asda click and collect spot yesterday for today. All were showing full till randomly in the afternoon all of today suddenly came free. They do seem to be releasing slots randomly

I have a Sainsbury’s delivery pass but got no email? Have had all their others, so not like I’m not subscribed.

I got Tesco click and collect for tomorrow. It had no slots available then I looked a couple of hours later and about 10 had opened up.
I am wondering if people are reserving the slots somehow but then not using them? I don't really know how it works.

I have an Ocado anytime pass and got an email at about 6pm saying my booking slot was open. Only had a 2 minute wait to get on the website and managed to book a delivery slot for a couple of weeks time. Seems like perhaps I got lucky as I did logon straight after receiving the email

Somehow my sister did and got one for 2 weeks time!

Really struggling to get one with either Tesco or ASDA. DH is shielding and because the children are little we can’t keep them 2m apart so I can’t go into a shop. The kids have allergies I am still breast feeding so shopping is an all round nightmare.

I don’t know who’s booking these delivery slots! All our neighbours usually shop online and we see at least one van on our street a day. No vans that I’ve seen have turned up in the last 2 weeks. No slots available it’s mad. I have a vulnerable at risk DH but we can’t get a slot :(

I have no idea how but I got onto Ocado yesterday and got a delivery for today. I’m not even a smart pass holder but I do use Ocado weekly and for all my big events. There’s no rhyme or reason to the system.

I managed to get one for my dad with Asda for Saturday earlier in the week and at the same time one for us next Thursday. Was looking for another a week or so later but nothing doing either for delivery or click and collect. Have been checking all day but nothing more has come up.Wonder if the new ones come on at Midnight? Might wait up and look.

Ocado priority pass holder - shopped with them regularly for years.
Got email to log on,couldn't do it, then when I did no slots.
We have got a delivery coming tomorrow but since doing final edit we have come down with COVID so will need to be in for another 11 days or so..

I just checked yet again thanks to this thread, and got one tomorrow! That's brilliant, it'll top us and both families up for another week.

I have one from ASDA for next week but their glitchy website is preventing me from doing anything with it
