Positive thinking, I'll go first.

My ruccula/rocket has germinated
The sun is shining Smile

My house has never been so clean and tidy

Candy crush is giving unlimited free lives 😂

Wallabyone · 25/03/2020 12:56

My kids have spent a lot of time playing in the garden.
My daughter's reading is really coming along with such consistent practice!

flossyflorenceflounces · 25/03/2020 13:00

I am saving money
The benefit to the environment by reduced car journeys
More time to enjoy my garden

GU24Mum · 25/03/2020 13:03

Hopefully far fewer road deaths .

My admin pile and to do list are looking better than they have done for years.

crazydiamond222 · 25/03/2020 13:04

No airplane noise overhead and can hear spring birdsong
No mad rush in morning to get children ready for school

Whitney168 · 25/03/2020 13:06

I genuinely think this time will teach a lot of people to relax and de-compress, and that we don't need to be rushing everywhere to do as much as possible.

Hard to be miserable on such a glorious day too, with spring flowers and blossom (here, at least).

sindylouwho · 25/03/2020 13:15

I'm getting to spend every day with my daughter and husband.

The sun is shining

theoriginalmadambee · 25/03/2020 13:16

Candy crush is giving unlimited free lives 😂

Well then there is no need to be cleaning 🤣.

  1. My daughter has walked the dog (unheard of)

  2. We’re all eating together, same meal (to keep track of food stocks and reduce waste) rather than eating convenience foods and eating 2 different meals because someone ‘doesn’t fancy’ what’s being made.

Raera · 25/03/2020 13:42

Nesting birds in tourist areas won't be disturbed this year.

It always makes me smile that a baby puffin is called a puffling!

MutteringDarkly · 25/03/2020 13:43

Celebrating five years today since we adopted DC SmileSmileSmileSmile

There will be chocolate cake later (directly connected Grin)

HalfBloodPrincess · 25/03/2020 13:56

My teens are really making an effort to get on with each other.

Getting lots of extra cuddles with my 10 month old as I cant go back to work yet

theoriginalmadambee · 25/03/2020 14:00

@MutteringDarkly
Happy adoption day SmileCake

LaChatte · 25/03/2020 14:01

Prince Charles and Tim Hanks.

I'll get my coat.

LaChatte · 25/03/2020 14:02

Tom, not Tim obviously.

MrsJoshNavidi · 25/03/2020 14:05

My house has never been so clean and tidy

Ours is worse than usual with four adults at home all day 😟

MediocreOmens · 25/03/2020 14:07

I have no washing left in my dirty washing basket.

I baked today and have already eaten the results Grin

Isadora2007 · 25/03/2020 14:13

The weather has been being kind and children have been enjoying “outdoor learning”.
We’ve got very little food waste- meal plans are finally being adhered to.

OddshoesOddsocks · 25/03/2020 14:16

I’ve finally made it to the bottom of the washing pile (!!) which means that I can finally use the washing machine cleaner that has been sat in the cupboard for months weeks!

My children are getting on and self policing screen time after we had a chat about it before the start of ‘homeschooling’ (not that I’m expecting this to last but I’m enjoying it for now!)

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 25/03/2020 14:18

We (I) don't have to make bonnets for the Easter Hat Parade

I don't have to spend a fortune visiting Warner Bros studio in the UK, as we're not coming now

Elouera · 25/03/2020 14:20

Its not ebola- haemorrhaging to death from every orifice is worse than flu symptoms

Its not zika- and the awful deformities that causes- currently in TWW after IVF treatment

Stillinsistsheseestheghosts · 25/03/2020 14:23

Spending more time (quality or otherwise) with 5yo DS.

Saving at least £30 a week on commute costs and probably double that again in unnecessary shopping - coffees, popping to shops at lunchtime etc...

Likewise saving at least 2hrs a day of travel time.

Possibility of using some of that time to actually sort the house out instead of just sleeping more although this is also very positive!

Getting to hang all the washing outside for a change, even in Scotland.

I know that's more than two but I'm feeling pretty positive today, we've settled into a decent rhythm and I'm actually getting good amounts of work done whilst keeping DS vaguely entertained.

Wannabangbang · 25/03/2020 14:25

Saving money not buying crap from cafes
Eating less
Kids enjoying the sun in the garden
Learning to value spending time together
Started getting into baking again
Finding better things to watch on tv

willowpatterns · 25/03/2020 14:30

I'm not eating chocolate, crisps, cake or biscuits.

The sun is shining, there are flowers everywhere, and it is so quiet outside you can hear the birds singing.

Lonelycrab · 25/03/2020 14:31

Humanity realising that if it’s not more careful, nature has the ability to obliterate it completely.

And I can sit looking at rubbish on my phone allllll day and not feel guilty Grin
