Positive thinking, I'll go first.

My ruccula/rocket has germinated
The sun is shining Smile

I've never been so on top of my washing
I just downloaded disney+ Smile

fishonabicycle · 25/03/2020 14:34

Husband and son sanded and oiled kitchen worktops.

Theyrecomingtotakemeawayhaha · 25/03/2020 14:38

It's so quiet, not even a traffic hum in the background.Kust the birds and Sounds of children playing.
It is also good for my diet.I am Sat outside and there is a strong smell of cooking bacon.I can do nothing about it,our food for the week is all accounted for.

DentalPatient · 25/03/2020 14:39

The planet is thanking us for less plane travel.
My children are getting along well in the absence of anyone else to play with.
I have lost weight as I am very conscious of healthy eating to ward of the virus and we are walking everyday.

Ivebeentohellanditscalledikea · 25/03/2020 14:44

These are making me wish we had a garden or even a balcony.

My positives are

My youngest is getting really into the online learning.

I'm learning relaxation techniques.

Pinksmyfavoritecolour · 25/03/2020 16:15

Husband is mowing the lawn for a change.
I’m nearly at the bottom of my washing basket and ironing pile.
Hearing kids enjoying the sunshine playing in their gardens.
Sitting on patio in the sun with my coffee listening and watching the birds on the feeders.
Yes I have worries, but this is a lovely thread, thanks x

redcarbluecar · 25/03/2020 16:19

Saving money by not doing my very long work commute
Feel kind of calm at present - in some ways enjoying a bit of headspace

TheCrowFromBelow · 25/03/2020 16:51

The boys are walking the dog with me. Only taken 8 years!

The mud has finally dried up.

TeenPlusTwenties · 25/03/2020 20:32

@MutteringDarkly Happy anniversary. Smile We are coming up to 13 years since placed.

We saw bats on an evening walk.
We are eating healthier (sort of).

BendingSpoons · 25/03/2020 20:36

I have gained 2 hours a day now I am not commuting.
DS is (just about!) sleeping through the night.

ClassicallyConditioned · 25/03/2020 20:36

We're saving £1400 a month on childcare and commuting costs

I was able to witness my son's first steps on Monday - a day I would normally have been at work

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 25/03/2020 20:43

Eating more thoughtfully. (Sorry that sounds very wankerish) but less waste, less snacking because I’m worried about running out, especially of gluten free stuff. The dog is really happy that we are all home all the time.

Goostacean · 25/03/2020 20:45

I’m spending loads of quality time with DS, whereas normally he’d be in childcare. Our bond is visibly strengthening and I’m grateful for this time even those it’s challenging with a 3mo too.

My DH is amazing, and has endless patience with us all despite WFH and needing to get a lot done!

MutteringDarkly · 25/03/2020 21:13

@TeenPlusTwenties wow, 13! Congratulations Smile

shinynewapple2020 · 25/03/2020 21:58

Saving money by not commuting and not being able to eat out. Also bought no new clothes as only wearing tracksuits .

More relaxed as no commute means more time at home, taking dog for nice relaxed walk rather than quick round the block before I head to work.

I've got lovely clean door handles!

soupforbrains · 25/03/2020 22:19

Saw this today and it filled me with warmth and a sense of wellbeing.

Name two positives
NaviSprite · 25/03/2020 22:28

My nonverbal DS who is currently being assessed for ASD did his first finger painting today, he’s 2yo and previously avoided it because he disliked the texture, I’m so proud of him 😁

DD (also 2yo, twins) decided today was the day to say her first “I love you Mummy” - well it was more “Ah wubbu Mummy” but it was precious Smile

flossyflorenceflounces · 25/03/2020 22:29

It's taken my mind off a bereavement last month, odd thinking that ten days ago I was wishing it wasn't the only thing I thought of when I went to bed and woke up. I should have been careful what I wished for.

MrsTerryPratchett · 26/03/2020 00:22

The dog is happier than he's ever been.

I have a tiny hope that people will realize that treating homeless people as invisible rubbish isn't possible and that full housing for everyone protects everyone.

Inappropriatefemale · 26/03/2020 01:24

The air is clearer and the dolphins are back in certain waters thanks to no CO2 gases coming from the planes and into the seas.

It’s making me have a serious think about all the pollution and damage we do to our planet just because we live such fast paced lives, private jets for celebs should be stopped and used for emergencies only.

ArthurandJessie · 26/03/2020 03:30

I have the best husband ever Grin love him to bits
30 weeks with my twins and doctor said today he is super happy with them ( after a bit of a shakey start )

Casino218 · 26/03/2020 04:39

My 14 year old daughter told me she's enjoying spending the time with me instead of her friends ( I never thought I would hear that)!

Listening to the birds in my garden without the constant traffic from in the background.

Otterses · 26/03/2020 07:05
  1. I get to (currently) have breakfast at the table with DS every day, something I've not been able to do since I've been been on maternity leave. He seems so happy and excited to be at home with me and DH, and it's lovely to make the most of the time together before DH is deployed next week.
  1. I have two robins currently investigating the nesting box outside and I'm ridiculously excited Grin
LangSpartacusCleg · 26/03/2020 13:14
  1. This section of the website has been created
  1. DH has agreed we are going to get a cat! 😺
Genderwitched · 26/03/2020 13:43

I am losing weight and exercising more

My Ds 16 is actually becoming more hygenic without me having to nag him, it's a miracle Smile
