Anything at all, small or large!

I'm about to go and refill the bird feeder so my feathered friends can feast up! And my tea is at exactly the right temperature.

My 2 year old and I dancing around the sun filled kitchen to Hakuna Matata to make her baby sister (7 weeks old tomorrow) smile and gurgle at us in her bouncer. Makes me forget the world. This is a lovely thread.

A sunny day, the first bluebell emerging in the garden, lovely neighbours, snuggling on the sofa with my little one, looking forward to Mallory Towers and chatting with my niece about it.

Orangelover · 23/03/2020 17:25

My cat. My special little house buddy who always provides cuddles and companionship no matter what is cracking off Smile

I also am happy when I think about my upcoming wedding at the end of next year. Even if we don't get the day we wanted, after all this I don't care because I love OH and we'll spend the rest of our lives together anyway.

And I'm happy about my garden and the time I'm going to spend making it look pretty Daffodil

Next door, the neighbour is teaching their dog to jump, over a broom handle laid across two chairs.

I have the family Easter egg hunt planned, and the eggs bought and ready. Our egg hunt is a game, which can get quite competitive! Lots of little eggs are scattered on the floor (or garden, if the weather is nice enough). One person hunts at a time, and everyone can see what's happening; except the person hunting, who is blindfolded. Their big egg is placed in the room, with a beeping device attached to it. The person hunting is guided by the sound, and they can pick up any small eggs they find on the way. We have the added twist that anybody can sneak up and move the big egg, with its beeping device. They must not hold it for more than two seconds, and they must not be touched by the person hunting; if this happens, they are not able to move the egg again. There are two winners: the one with the most little eggs, and the one who finds their big egg in the shortest time. The person hunting has to guess what kind of egg they have before they are allowed to see again.

I have spent most the day sitting in the garden with a good book, enjoying the sunshine and watching my toddler play in the garden. We also found two caterpillars and 3 ladybirds and lots of spiders and ants on a beastie hunt Smile

A bit of sunshine makes me feel a million times better!

Standrewsschool · 23/03/2020 18:31

The spring flowers.

MerryDeath · 23/03/2020 18:46

the garden!! I'm so grateful to my garden. this time last year we didn't have it and a lockdown would have been even harder to bear without all our projects.

ds2 is 2 months old and a smiley little angel.

Loveatortie · 23/03/2020 19:01

The sunshine. My ds coming back from uni. Seeing my dh more as he is wfh. Give me a week and I'm clearing out the shed and moving in Grin

This has been such a lovely thread. Please do keep adding to it if you think of more!

I'm currently in bed and one of the cats is sat staring at me purring like an engine. Obviously she only wants treats but for a cat that is high regard indeed.

Sitting under the fluffiest blanket in the world with a steaming hot cup of tea, all quiet except for the sound of birdsong (again with the birds Grin)

Anthilda · 24/03/2020 08:18

Napping, laughing with my toddler, the sunshine, having a clean house.

Womenwotlunch · 24/03/2020 08:24

Dancing around with my teenage children.
They are busy laughing at my two left feet.

SheSellSeaShells · 24/03/2020 09:43

My garden hedgehogs have awoken and they make me so happy, watching them in the evening snorting their way round my garden

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 24/03/2020 09:49

Awww, hedgehogs. So sweet.

We went to a drive-in movie last night. My Bee Bombs arrived yesterday so I'm going to plant them today. I took part in a quilt-along online on Sunday with approximately 16,000 other people in 37 countries.

babybrain86 · 24/03/2020 11:30

My baby boy fast asleep on my chest with his hand rested on my face 💕 while DH and DD are happily playing with her train set 😍

AintNobodyHereButUsChickens · 24/03/2020 11:58

It's a beautiful sunny day and nature is just doing its thing without a care, while the human world is in total chaos.

vampirethriller · 24/03/2020 12:37

I found a box of old things whilst deep cleaning that I'd forgotten. My old mix tapes from the 90s and some annuals were in thereGrin I'm so happy. I thought everything had been lost years ago but these must have slipped through the net.

JudgeRindersMinder · 24/03/2020 12:39

I’ve just for the first time ever paid for my car insurance all at once instead of monthly. This makes me feel officially grown up(at the age of 49😂). Ive owned a car since I was 21

Deathraystare · 24/03/2020 12:41

It's a sunny day and I bought some loo rolls. Haven't seen any for over a month. I am not a hoarder. It is the little things that make me happy!

DidoAndHerLament · 24/03/2020 12:45

Reading that butterfly numbers are on the increase.
