I'm just about to make flapjacks & something else, but can't decide what something else should be!

If you're baking today, what are you making?

Bread in the bread maker today

LaChatte · 15/03/2020 13:27

DH is doing our weekly sourdough loaf.

I'm making a few different veggie quiches/tarts for the freezer.

I definitely need to make something sweet too. I wanted to do oat and chocolate cookies but I've eaten run out of chocolate.

I could make disappointment cookie instead (raisins instead of chocolate).

SlayingDragons · 15/03/2020 13:28

Fruit soda bread made and already consumed.

Chocolate cake (with fresh berries, white chocolate ganache & milk chocolate ganache) made and half eaten.

DH has been sent to Tesco to refill the flour, sugar, buttermilk supplies to ensure we can keep baking.

Cherry scones later.

HighNetGirth · 15/03/2020 13:31

Yeo, scones here too. I made my first ever red velvet cake for DS’s birthday on Friday, and it was a success, so that is an addition to my repertoire. If there is time I would like to make a really dark, sticky gingerbread. Recipe suggestions welcome!

doctorboo · 15/03/2020 13:32

I made come golden syrup cookies this morning, the boys were well chuffed to have something yummy now that they’re feeling up to eating again (flu).

HighNetGirth · 15/03/2020 13:32

Yeo= yep!

copycopypaste · 15/03/2020 13:33

Pancakes if that counts

MadameRanevskaya · 15/03/2020 13:34

Date and walnut loaf

Laniakea · 15/03/2020 13:37

Victoria sponge with nutella instead of jam for the children, banana coconut & pecan loaf for me the adults!

BorisTheBellend · 15/03/2020 13:39

I am the worst baker ever so if anyone has any tips/recipes for really nice cherry scones then I'd be very grateful.

MaMisled · 15/03/2020 13:39

Cinnamon swirls and chocolate swirls. Low calorie version.

beela · 15/03/2020 13:40

Victoria sponge, and a no-knead overnight seeded loaf which I started yesterday.

lazylinguist · 15/03/2020 13:41

Dark chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips (made by 11yo ds). Very nice too.

FthisS · 15/03/2020 13:43

Bread (I make two loaves a day always). Chewy cookies, vegan pizza swirls.

ViveLEntenteCordiale · 15/03/2020 13:49

DH is the baker here and he's been busy this morning!

He's made cheese oatcakes, choc chip oatmeal cookies and ginger cookies (all gluten free for my benefitBlush). And bagels for himself (they go in the freezer).

I'll be making plum crumble later with frozen mirabelle plums from our tree. Need to finish last year's fruit before this year's starts arriving!

Pieceofpurplesky · 15/03/2020 13:57

Does baking a ham count? For ham egg and chips for tea

WeakandWobbly · 15/03/2020 13:59

I've just done a roast chicken, pear cake and home-made hobnobs!

mallachy · 15/03/2020 14:07

2 x Apple cakes (one for work as we're in a school so no working from home) and banana muffins.

itsme · 15/03/2020 14:12

I've made a chocolate sponge with chocolate buttercream filling and topping for my fil's 60th. Smells amazing. I bake once a week usually muffins, brownies or some kind of sponge.

dementedpixie · 15/03/2020 14:14

I made carrot cake cupcakes yesterday

Can you link the recipe for cheese oatcakes please?

Xiaoxiong · 15/03/2020 14:18

I'm about to make banana bread! With some bourbon and warm spices, maybe some chocolate chips if we have any left.

ShootEmUpSarsaparilla · 15/03/2020 14:19

Good old fashioned bread pudding!
