I’m probably Going to be flamed for this thread but I’m trying to avert a MH crisis so doing what I can to be diverted from topping myself.

What’s your favourite takeaway and fast food?

Takeaway- chicken satay and spicy veg rolls in sweet chilli sauce from local Thai

Fast food- zinger tower burger from kfc

How hungry are you? The kfc would be really filling. Out of the two I'd prefer the thai.

Raffles1981 · 13/03/2020 14:06

Love a chicken chow mein with egg fried rice. Indian, korma. I'm so boring!! Although, saving some Chinese to eat the next day is always the best 😊

MaMisled · 13/03/2020 14:06

Big Mac and fries does it every time for me. A very occasional treat would be chicken chow main and sweet and sour chicken balls with stir fry vegetables.

Grumpbum123 · 13/03/2020 14:07

@Frownette I’m not talking about having both together 🧐

I don't really like 'standard' Indian takeaway but my city has a couple of vegetarian Indian street food cafes that are amazing. One does a fabulous Thali plate with small portions of different vegetable curries with lovely bread and rice and also samosa chaat, which is cut up samosas, chick peas, crispy bits, and bits of salad and pomegranate and sauce.

The other does a great spicy potato burger in a bun and several different lovely things with paneer. They also do craft beers so a good place to go for an evening out.

If I was rich, I'd never cook and eat there all the time.

Frownette · 13/03/2020 14:10

Grump no no, I wasn't saying that! Grin

Just that I'd prefer the thai but it's lighter, so if you're really hungry go for the zinger instead

imterrified · 13/03/2020 14:13

McDonald’s , always . Big Mac, fries, 3 chicken nuggets and lemonade . McFlurry for afters .

If hungover , a dominos - with Cumberland sausage, chicken and bacon, bbq sauce and those cinnamon things .

At my mums as I am just now, fish and chips - battered sausage, chips, tomato sauce and irn bru .

Frownette · 13/03/2020 14:13

Barbara I think I know where you mean with the thalis.

Love the sound of the potato burger

WanderingTrolley1 · 13/03/2020 14:14

McDonald’s
KFC
Fish & chips.

SuperMeerkat · 13/03/2020 14:15

Right now, i’m really loving kebabs! Chicken Shish with chips please. Normally, my order of preference would be cod and chips with curry sauce and pickled egg. Number 2 choice, zinger box meal and number 3 meal, pretty much anything from the Indian.

Sooo hungry now. That cheese and mushroom omelette didn’t cut it.

severalboxes · 13/03/2020 14:19

There's a place near here that does jerk chicken with rice and peas. Delicious and you feel fairly healthy after!

Lindy2 · 13/03/2020 14:19

Favourite takeaway - (if I'm ignoring calories) prawn korma, peshwari naan, sag aloo and an onion baji.

Favourite fast food - McDonald's quarter pounder with cheese.

I like the sound of the Burger King halloumi burger but I haven't tried one yet.

Frownette · 13/03/2020 14:21

I love a place which does chickpea curry, coconut spinach and rice and peas. It's daytime only though.

z0fl0ra · 13/03/2020 14:24

Dominoes I love but I find it’s always expensive for what it is and never anywhere near as good as I remember it being or look anything like the photos but still doesn’t stop me buying it Confused love a McDonald’s and kfc is okay, never really one to get Indian or Chinese because I’m so fussy!

Fanthorpe · 13/03/2020 14:26

Vada pau, Indian version of a chip sandwich.

Peshwari naan. Paratha. Sag aloo. Aloo gobi. Dhal.

My mouth is watering.

Crispy chilli beef and egg fried rice from the Chinese take away or chicken gyozas and ramen noodles from Wagamama

EmberElftree · 13/03/2020 14:31
