I’m probably Going to be flamed for this thread but I’m trying to avert a MH crisis so doing what I can to be diverted from topping myself.

What’s your favourite takeaway and fast food?

Takeaway- chicken satay and spicy veg rolls in sweet chilli sauce from local Thai

Fast food- zinger tower burger from kfc

OP posts:
Simonsaysitschristmas · 13/03/2020 14:35

Fast food - McDonald’s - normally chicken selects or a chicken wrap, large chips and large Diet Coke. If I’m really hungry I will add either a cheese burger, a mcflurry or cheese bites/mozarella sticks.

Takeaway- Indian always. I love getting a mixed starter and lots of veggie sides like aloo Ghobi and saag aloo with pilau rice.

picklemewalnuts · 13/03/2020 14:38

Tricky question...

I like Indian.
And chinese.

If it's fast food, then burger king over MacDs every time.

Other diverting questions, OP- which chocolate bar? I'm a chocolate creations jellybean woman myself.

dontgobaconmyheart · 13/03/2020 14:40

This thread is personal torture for me but I can't tear myself away. I was diagnosed coeliac 18 months ago so any decent takeaway is off the table. I'm not even slightly over it Envy.

I'm boring but love a Chinese- curry, rice, those deep fried chicken 'balls' with a dipping sauce, crispy 'seaweed' and mini spring rolls. Equally happy with an Indian though.

An old favourite when I was in London was Turkish - it was takeaway but was like getting home cooked food. We used to order a chicken casserole, a lamb dish, halloumi, freshly baked Turkish bread and hummus. Bloody brilliant.

For takeaway, Chinese: Sweet and sour chicken, egg fried rice, veggie spring rolls.

For fast food, McDonald’s: chicken nuggets, fries, bbq sauce, vanilla milkshake.

OR Veggie hot pizza from Caspian

Camouflage · 13/03/2020 14:52

Takeaway - Pizza
Fast Food - Pizza

I love pizza!!!

I also love chips, fried rice and curry sauce from the Chinese.

Frownette · 13/03/2020 14:53

dontgobacon does it really hurt?

MrsMoggy · 13/03/2020 14:56

Chippy- chips, peas and gravy with a “smack”
Indian- vegetable rogan Josh, chilli cheese nanna and rice
Chinese- prawn toast, deep fried shredded beef in chill, salt and pepper chips, prawn crackers
Pizza-anything involving pepperoni!
Fast food- kfc, just for the gravy!

MrsMoggy · 13/03/2020 14:57

Naan not Nanna Grin

Notthecarwashagain · 13/03/2020 14:58

Ah food! My favourite subject!

Chinese takeaway- Egg fried rice, tofu with mixed vegetables, and salt and pepper king prawns.

Not too keen on fast food so I'm adding a second choice!
Indian takeaway- Paneer bhuna, mushroom rice, brinjal bhajee.

Hungry now, even though I've just had a KitKat Grin

awakewiththebirds · 13/03/2020 14:58

McDonald’s- quarter pounder wit extra cheese, large fries and coke!

Takeaway- korma with rice and naan and onion Bhaji

Notthecarwashagain · 13/03/2020 14:59

Bhaji. I knew it looked wrong!

caperplips · 13/03/2020 15:01

My favourite takeaways are:

Chinese: aromatic crispy duck with pancakes etc / spring roll / fried rice / chicken satay / crispy chilli chicken / noodles / curry sauce - NOT all of it but a selection

McDonalds: quarter pounder with cheese / big mac / 9 chicken nuggets / fries / BBQ sauce/ coke zero or fanta - again NOT all - but these are my preferences

Pizza: local Italian - capricciosa OR funghi

Chip shop: fish and chips with mushy peas / battered sausage & chips / plain fried chicken breast (not southern fried) chips / rock shandy to drink

Nandos: butterfly chicken medium spice, peri peri fries, garlic bread, coke zero

I love takeaway far too much!

bakedbeanzontoast · 13/03/2020 15:01

So flaming from me 🌹

Seafood pizza or sushi (some places deliver this).

Defender90 · 13/03/2020 15:02

We've just been talking about going for a Chinese tonight.

Whether we sit in or take away (two different restaurants as for some reason the amazing sit in place's food doesn't travel well).

Smoke shredded chicken, schezuan chicken, chicken chow mein.

If it's fast food it's McDs and a quarter pounder with cheese.

bakedbeanzontoast · 13/03/2020 15:03

Oh fast food would be a kfc tower burger 👍🏻

BarbaraofSeville · 13/03/2020 15:03

chips, peas and gravy with a smack

What the hell is a 'smack' from the chip shop?

aibutohavethisusername · 13/03/2020 15:06

Chinese from the chippy - king prawn satay with veggie chow mien.

Indian - anything paneer or king prawn that is mild or medium with peshwari naan.

Or paneer street food place here.

Fast food either McDonald’s egg McMuffin and hash browns or Subway salads.

Grumpbum123 · 13/03/2020 15:17

Chocolate - ummm I think a galaxy bar

OP posts:
isseywith4vampirecats · 13/03/2020 15:18

fast food a Mcdonalds egg bacon mcmuffin

Inextremis · 13/03/2020 15:20

Indian - chicken dhansak or madras, tarka dall, pilau rice, poppodoms and Bombay duck.

Fast food - a chilli burger from Grubbs in Brighton, no other burger will do!

Giganticshark · 13/03/2020 15:20

Cripsy beef in sweet sauce from Chinese. With seaweed, satay sauce and chiiiiiips. Didn't order satay last time.... I deeply regretted it.
Always some for brekkie next day yummy

Giganticshark · 13/03/2020 15:22

My brother kept mithering for chicken balls but they were nowhere on the menu..... Do they have a secret name?

mrsawhite · 13/03/2020 15:24

Takeaway. The cheeseburger pizza from dominoes

Fast food. An actual cheeseburger from McDonald's. 😋

BarbaraofSeville · 13/03/2020 15:31

I think chicken balls are cubes of battered chicken, normally served with sweet and sour sauce.

They don't do them separately at the Chinese takeaway we go to, but they might do if you asked as they'd just put the sauce in a soup cup or not send any if you didn't want it, but it would be a bit bland that way.

rayoflightboy · 13/03/2020 15:31
