What MPG do you get in your car?

I actually don't think I've seen this thread before and I'm pretty obsessed by mine as it's way worse than I expected!!

I drive a 15 plate Renault Captur petrol and only get 33-35mpg on a bog standard tank, so some motorway, some distance, majority in town.

What car do you drive and what MPG do you generally get??

When I had a seat Ibiza 3 door 1.2 diesel turbo i got 56mpg

It was a fab car and really nippy too!

Don't know what my vw Jetta gets but I think it's in the 50's too

ComtesseDeSpair · 02/03/2020 18:10

Somewhere around 28-30mpg - but I drive a 3.2l all wheel drive automatic Audi TT, don’t drive it particularly efficiently, and didn’t exactly buy it for the fuel economy so it wasn’t a surprise.

Have to say very surprised yours is so poor, way off the official figures.

BentNeckLady · 02/03/2020 18:12

My round town average is 45mpg. If I do a motorway run ins 65-70mpg

Skoda yeti 2.0L

I have a 2017 Peugeot 3008 (diesel) and get about 45mpg. Looking to get hybrid next - either Toyota Corolla (65-70mpg) or Ford Puma.

Flutteringsatlast · 02/03/2020 18:15

Mazda 2 here.. Do 250 miles a week on 30 quid...

ParkheadParadise · 02/03/2020 18:21

BMW X6 SPORT
Between 22 and 28 mpg.

bonzo77 · 02/03/2020 18:23

Toyota verso. About 32.3. All short journeys really through traffic 😒

Michaelbaubles · 02/03/2020 18:23

Focus 1.6 diesel - about 55mpg. One of my main reasons for choosing diesel over petrol.

Sirzy · 02/03/2020 18:26

15 plate Vauxhall meriva 45-47 mpg

NotMeNoNo · 02/03/2020 18:27

Kia Venga diesel (euro 6) 49-50mpg.
Like a PP I used to have a Seat Ibiza diesel, it was legendary, apparently someone did Lands end to John o'groats on one tank in one!

KittenVsBox · 02/03/2020 18:27

1l Honda Civic.
About 43 at the moment (lots of short journeys). It headed pretty close to 50mpg when we did over 1000 miles of motorway and duel carriage ways over the summer.

Photosymphysis · 02/03/2020 18:33

2014 Fiesta. 40.5mpg and it DOES NOT BUDGE no matter what I do. Would be interested in comparing with other fiestas.

BikeRunSki · 02/03/2020 18:38

2019 Petrol VW Golf - about 42 to 55 mpg depending what I’m doing.

jackparlabane · 02/03/2020 18:42

About 50 to 55 - a Ford Galaxy so large and heavy. Much better than our previous cars though.

BackyardChickens · 02/03/2020 18:43

About 50mpg. It’s a Mini One. Live rurally.

bloodywhitecat · 02/03/2020 18:45

Mokka X, 47.6mpg

bloodywhitecat · 02/03/2020 18:46

Live rurally, very few dual carriageways, no motorways.

Whitelisbon · 02/03/2020 18:49

Ford transit diesel, about 40ish, mainly short journeys.

Toomanyapplesinthefruitbowl · 02/03/2020 18:52

I have a hybrid Rav-4 and 49mpg is my average

tywysoges · 02/03/2020 18:59

Mini One, average 43-ish, or about 50 if doing motorway. Normal travels are a mix of rural roads, town and motorways at the weekend. DH has had my car for the last month and got it down to 33.5 Shock

nikkylou · 02/03/2020 19:00

Kia Cee'd 1.6 ltr Diesel. 64plate Around 50 - 55 mpg.
Probably could get better if I tried.
Better in summer.
Partner has a Peugeot 308 Diesel 65 plate. Gets around 60mpg. Bit obsessed by it...

toomanydicksonthedancefloor1 · 02/03/2020 19:00

2018 Ford Focus RS Red Edition. Try not to check as obviously I didn't get this car for fuel efficiency! And I only do about 3000 miles a year.

Drive mainly short semi rural and town journeys. About 25 mpg (2.3L petrol engine 345bhp).

TwoZeroTwoZero · 02/03/2020 19:03

17 plate 1ltr petrol fiesta with eco boost does 45 or so when I drive it carefully. I put £20 every 1-2 weeks.

mineofuselessinformation · 02/03/2020 19:05

Audi A4 1.6 tdi, 64 plate.
Shorter journeys, around 53 (as long as it's not just to the shops), longer journeys 60.

DisgraceToTheYChromosome · 02/03/2020 19:58

07 Honda CR-V, 2.2 diesel, 38 mpg. Mostly dual carriageway. DW has a 1.6 diesel Auris, about 48 stop-start commuting.
