It turns out that MNHQ don't understand the difference between facts and opinions, and I can't respectfully challenge opinions that are solidly contradicted by science...so time to go our seperate ways.

It would be nice of there was a place on the internet for facts, but I suspect if there ever was its now gone for ever.

OP posts:
Lordfrontpaw · 24/02/2020 20:40

Waddimiss?

Sparklingbrook · 24/02/2020 20:40

The other one was about as far from stroppy as you can get if it's the one I think.

JackieFazakerley · 24/02/2020 20:41

Please stay.
I'll post you a pic of my worrying rash. Only your unique expertise can help me now.
Sad

sonjadog · 24/02/2020 20:42

When I read these threads, I always think that it is a good thing that the OP is going, as if you get to a point where a thread announcing your departure seems like a good idea, you are well-overinvested in a talkboard.

ChicChicChicChiclana · 24/02/2020 20:44

It's not 16 million members Bluntness! We've had this before, for goodness sake.

No idea who you are, OP. Go forth and prosper.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/02/2020 20:44

It’s not Heathrow love, you don’t need to announce your departure

Oh now that’s proper funny

NotALurker2 · 24/02/2020 20:44

All those posting against the OP for saying she's leaving -- why don't you take the approach you advocate and just bypass the thread then?

I'm guessing OP is upset that some comments were deleted by MNHQ? Is that it OP?

Lordfrontpaw · 24/02/2020 20:46

I thought this was going to be an obit poem like in Private Eye

So farewell then
Mumsnet...

ivfbabymomma1 · 24/02/2020 20:47

Flouncing is always hilarious 😂

Lweji · 24/02/2020 20:48

I'm often battling some pps on some threads about viruses and other stuff. Rarely get deleted or find the urge to flounce.
Must be missing a trick.

GabsAlot · 24/02/2020 20:50

16 million members?

misses the point

Lordfrontpaw · 24/02/2020 20:51

Maybe 16m accounts - not the same thing.

RufustheLanglovingreindeer · 24/02/2020 20:53

Last post on that thread was the 21st, so you’ve obviously had a good think about it

Sorry you feel you need to leave MN

Bluntness100 · 24/02/2020 20:58

I think it’s members, it’s either 14 or 16 million.

Mumsnet is huge, I think people sometimes forget that.

Posting a flounce thread is akin to posting a comment in the daily mail saying you’re not going to read it any more. Fairly pointless.🤪

ChicChicChicChiclana · 24/02/2020 20:59

No, it's not 16 million members. I'd be surprised if it's 1 million members.

Sparklingbrook · 24/02/2020 21:02

I think there's probably about 50 members tops. Grin

ChicChicChicChiclana · 24/02/2020 21:05

I reckon about 5,000 with active accounts.

Lordfrontpaw · 24/02/2020 21:06

One of my sister’s is a member - but we scared her off for being so horrid (wuss) and she has the mouth of a sailor.

KenAdams · 24/02/2020 21:06

Which thread please?

JackieFazakerley · 24/02/2020 21:20

OP only you
can diagnose flu
Is this a clue
my feet are blue?

RocketFire · 24/02/2020 21:25

meh your opinion is not fact

your 'facts' could be any old rubbish

Sparklingbrook · 24/02/2020 21:27

So all this drama is about and AIBU thread discussing the difference between flu and a cold?

well bye then MN...
SunshineDays2019 · 24/02/2020 21:28

You'll be back with a new username!

APatchyTomCat · 24/02/2020 21:29

There's seven members and they do the rest with mirrors.

Well, six now.
