Hunters were never the boot of choice for the people that work in the countryside though.

Coffee bars. You literally make it at home everyday, Why queue at a counter stress finding a table andvspend £2.80 on it?

Cocktails. 3 sips of overly alcoholic sickly yuck. For £12.50.

The news on TV. Out of date before the show has started. Overpaid presenter repeating stuff you already knew but at vast expense from a cordon area, half a mile sway from the scene. Wearing a super expensive jacket. Same non news will repeat every hour until they are sent home.
Radio 4 on the other hand will have had four experts, a recording from two years ago predicting it and someone who works there that knows the solution by the 6.30am broadcast.

Really? They were when I was a kid in the 70s and 80s. Everyone had a pair of hunters. They were a solid investment, like a Barbour or a Drizabone

Russellbrandshair · 22/02/2020 23:48

Agree with the beach! Always overhyped. Surrounded by sunburnt tourists in the blazing sun, if you put sunscreen on, the sand sticks to you until you’re like a human fish finger. You can’t read unless you get the umbrella correctly positioned and then you have to reposition it every 15 mins as the sun moves round. Your hair gets all dry and crispy with the salt water (who on earth came up with “beachy waves” for hair- no one’s hair looks like that at the beach- everyone looks like they have a shredded wheat on their head after 7 hours in the sea/sun). You spend the entire time fretting you’re going to get burnt so use SPF 1000000 then end up disappointed that you didn’t tan, and there’s nowhere to go to the loo or get a drink without packing up all your stuff and lugging it with you in search of a bar.

No thanks.
