Bob Dylan. My dad is obsessed, saw him lots in the early days. He, and I will be gutted when he dies.

Paul Wellor, same reason but for my partner

MeatLoaf. Love him, his music. I’ll be so sad when he dies..

Sorry, I see he's still alive in your heart.

KindnessCrusader · 20/02/2020 12:50

Obviously my highly panicked state thinking about that made me unable to form a coherent sentence. Confused

Soen · 20/02/2020 12:53

David Jason, I have thought this for years.

Same with Meatloaf, I love him.

Brian May and Roger Taylor.

Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora.... another big one for me would be Tico Torres cos he is older than the rest of the band and he is such a legend.

Bryan Adams definitely.

I'm still not over Neil Pearts death.

Grandmi · 20/02/2020 12:53

David Attenborough

Also Angela Lansbury

So what if a famous person dies? They already left a legacy and by the time they are very old and frail they have stopped doing their thing actively for quite some time. There will be other, new, famous and influental people who pick up the thread and continue to influence us.
JFK died, Michael Jackson died, so did Prince, David Bowie, Freddie Mercury and so on and on.
We all love David Attenborough but am I dreading his inevitable death? Am I going to go into mourning when it happens? Nope.

I was going to say no one but then saw Bob Mortimer mentioned. Hopefully it won't be for a very long time

RethpoDad · 20/02/2020 13:06

Yes! Bob Mortimer. I knew it began with an M.

Etinox · 20/02/2020 13:06

June Brown. She reminds me of my Granny who died 20 years ago, and would be very disapproving of being compared to an Eastender although she was

Phew! I'm glad I know and I agree.

elc19 · 20/02/2020 13:17

David Jason and David Attenborough

Kuponut · 20/02/2020 13:27

Only the geekily inclined will get the reference - but Nobuo Uematsu (the composer of the bulk of the Final Fantasy game series). In terms of providing the majority of the soundtrack to my life - this is the man and unfortunately he's now an old man.

Fishcakey · 20/02/2020 13:28

Er... none. I don't know any famous people so I won't miss them!

Changeofsector · 20/02/2020 13:42

David Attenborough

Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g · 20/02/2020 14:18

In the US the President has a big say in which judges are appointed to the Supreme Court. This makes them political appointments. Ours are or should be appointed entirely on merit. If RNG is replaced by a Trump appointee US law will take a lurch to the right. Abortion rights could be hard hit.

MozzchopsThirty · 20/02/2020 14:20

Paul McCartney because I'll be forced to listen to his shite as well as Beatles shite

I won't be listening to the radio for weeks

bluebell34567 · 20/02/2020 14:24

ritzbiscuits · 20/02/2020 14:26
