Bob Dylan. My dad is obsessed, saw him lots in the early days. He, and I will be gutted when he dies.

Paul Wellor, same reason but for my partner

MeatLoaf. Love him, his music. I’ll be so sad when he dies..

@Sausagewrole nobody gets how much I love Meat Loaf!

Agree with David Attenborough.

Stevie Wonder. I saw him last year at Hyde Park and he wasn't looking good at all Sad. It'll be a sad, sad day when he goes.

David Attenborough, and also the queen. I'm not a Royalist, but still have a lot of respect for her as a person.

twosoups1972 · 20/02/2020 14:37

Julie Walters

I’m still grieving over Victoria Wood and Kirsty MacColl. I was a huge fan of both Sad

thesunwillout · 20/02/2020 14:39

Arghh, how could I forget Floyd.

LightDrizzle · 20/02/2020 14:42

David Attenborough

todayisnottuesday · 20/02/2020 14:42

Er... none. I don't know any famous people so I won't miss them!

What a daft comment. People can miss people for what they will no longer be able to contribute to the world when they value and respect that contribution.

By the same token, it's quite possible not to miss people who have died that you did know.

eggandonion · 20/02/2020 14:42

I think the Queen as well - so few people alive now can remember her not being Queen My MIL is 82, so she can - but fewer and fewer do so. Also very few can remember what the death of a monarch is like - mourning, funerals and so on.

YourVagesty · 20/02/2020 14:55

I have been sniggering at 'mystery Bob'.

Thanks for the laughs people!

I don't really dread any celebrity dying. I suppose when Keira Knightley pops her clogs that will be a depressing day for me, marking definitive old age (we are about the same age).

DoTheNextRightThing · 20/02/2020 14:55

Dick Van Dyke. I just love him! He's in his 90s too, so I know it's fairly imminent.

I only realised recently I'd completely missed the news of Katharine Helmand from SOAP dying. She was wonderful, I was absolutely heartbroken.

DoTheNextRightThing · 20/02/2020 14:57

And of course The Queen. Royalist or not, many of us haven't lived in a world where she wasn't queen. I struggle to process the idea that one day she just won't be here anymore.

Pudding51 · 20/02/2020 15:03

The Queen

Hayao Miyazaki of studio ghibli fame

The entire main cast of star trek tng with honorable mention to Kate Mulgrew (who was also brilliant in orange is the new black) and Jeri Ryan. Hopefully not for another few decades yet.

David Tennant and John Barrowman although hopefully that won't be for many years too

Yy to the Queen, David Attenborough etc too.

Jk rowling, because while I know her popularity has taken something of a nosedive the Harry Potter books were an enormous part of my childhood

Trumpspeach · 20/02/2020 17:27

DAvid Attenborough without a doubt.

The Queen, but not because I have any strong feelings towards her, I am just dreading the wall to wall coverage of it. Hmm

eggsandwich · 20/02/2020 17:28

Murray Walker, I grew up in a household where F1 weekend was a big event, then got married and my dh is a big F1 fan as is my dd, we now plan our Sunday roast dinners on the F1 calendar.

BoccaBaciata · 20/02/2020 17:43

Morrissey. I know he's a dick nowadays but the Smiths were my life when I were a lass. Still are at the ripe old age of 49, if I'm honest. I walked down the aisle to There Is A Light.
