Let me read your cards

I'm trying to justify owning 5 decks of tarot cards by actually learning to read them. It's turning out to be quite hard to learn without getting any practice (I'm not going to give my partner any more readings since the cards encouraged her to break up with me), so I thought I'd do some readings on here just for fun.

It'll be three cards: situation/action/outcome. I'd appreciate knowing if you felt it had any bearing or if it was a right load of twaddle.

Disclaimer: some people have astonishing powers of intuition. I don't, nor do I believe the future can be predicted, so please don't leave your partner/quit your job/run away and join the circus on the back of this. It's just for fun.

I'm sorry, your reading doesn't really resonate with me.

I'm not really feeling proud of anything, because haven't achieved anything. In fact quite the contrary. I'm acutely aware right now of all the opportunties I have let pass me by. I haven't worked hard and so I haven't reaped any rewards.

The second part of the reading, to keep looking for new opportunities is probably sound advice for anyone, but the first part of the reading RE my current situation? Sorry, I don't recognise it :(

I had my cards read a few years ago. It was so accurate I asked her if someone had told her about my situation. 3/4 of the way through the reading she said ‘oh, I’m surprised I haven’t seen a particular card show up yet” Two turns later, there it was.. The Devil. She laughed and said ‘oh, my dear. You’re fucked!” And then we had a long conversation about her own life and younger men, etc. etc.
It was.. slightly unnerving.

@Tdaadfb100 I’ve seen 3 different ladies in Selfridges. They are honest. None could connect with me & gave me my money back without me even asking. I found that refreshing that they didn’t try to con me.

@JoshLymanIsHotterThanSam, no, I haven't because I'm genuinely not trying to fool people into thinking I'm psychic. I'm just trying to learn how to read the cards (i.e.: remember the meanings, stitch them into a narrative, and deliver it in a way that works) so looking up your post history would be a waste of my time.

Just a reminder to everyone: I'm not psychic, and even if I was I can't imagine how I'd read your mind over the Mumsnet talk forum. I'm just a person who likes using tarot for personal reflection, inspiration and the occasional party trick. If my reading for you was good I'm not trying to pretend it was anything other than luck and psychology. Please don't ask me to read your cards if you're going though serious, painful stuff - I have nothing to offer you than either false hope or potential upset, and I would hate to do either of those things to someone who is already hurting.

It was a genuine question-I didn’t mean to offend. For me you were pretty much spot on, now I suspect a quick look at my posting history may have got a similar narrative, however I have to say I didn’t get the impression you were doing that, I just had to ask.
