Is there a supply chain issue with Minstrels chocolates?

This isn't my tweet, but I've just seen this from two days ago on Twitter: "@GalaxyChocolate Are you experiencing a stock issue at the moment with your Galaxy Milk Chocolate/Milk Chocolate-based products (minstrels, milk chocolate bar multipacks etc)? I've not been able to find them in any of my supermarkets for like a month now. What's going on?"

So, it's not just me and my DH!

So, what's going on?!

I'm finding the same with Maltesers. Empty shelves wherever I go unless I want funsize which I don't because I'm a greedy pig

I work in supply chain in food manufacturing, and Mars are experiencing supply issues across a number of products (a situation that many of their competitors are making full advantage of)

I don't know what the actual issue is though 🤷

Damn, haven't had Minstrels in AGES, and now really really want some! None in the corner shop downstairs (and they stock everything!) And all out of stock on Ocado apart from the Easter egg.... maybe that's where all the stock is going!

Maybe it is due to Mars many ongoing projects for white chocolate / dairy free alternatives

Yes. We need minstrels for a midnight feast apparently - took 4 different supermarkets to track them down.
They had them in Morrisons if you're interested

Not sure about minstrels but my Tesco never seems to have galaxy Ripple 4 packs in stock. The space for them is empty every time I go. Saved me some money I guess!

Sure there was some in the petrol station yesterday. I’ll investigate!

I bought a bag at WHSmiths in St Pancras station yesterday, and I've seen loads in my local Coop.

I may have to stock up now though (you'd all better prepare for further shortages....)
