We are off to Cornwall in a caravan. I’ve never been in a caravan during a storm so that will be interesting! Not sure about the weather so plan to use the indoor pool onsite lots and visit a few museums. Plus the Eden project and lost gardens of Heligan.

DD17 revising for A levels, DH and I are at work, DD19 in Swansea also working. The days of half-term as a family are past... we may be doing something together "as a family" sometime at the start of July... life moves on...

@stairway I have!! It's very noisy and a bit seasick inducing, but fun as long as no-one gets scared. Enjoy! hope you're not parked on a cliff edge

Nothing unfortunately, I'm working. We usually do Butlins or CP but not this time. I'm sure they'll cope. We are going away for Easter.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 13/02/2020 13:17

Stairway- is that your own caravan?

Next week we will be saying goodbye to ddog. Looks like her suspected brain tumour has taken ahold.
Sad
A year today since we found her mammary tumour. Then suspected brain tumour symptoms kicked in post op.
Glad we had no fun plans anyway...

Fairy hunt at a local EH place on one of the days. Other than that we have no plans. If the weather holds my dc will go & play outside.

It’s a static on a park dean park, not our own Greenbuterlfy566. Glad to hear it wasn’t too bad for you allflightscancelled, my parents think we are mad, but it’s all been paid for so I’m still going. Taking the monopoly board with us.

SuperMeerkat · 13/02/2020 21:17

@FiveGoMadInDorset Make sure you go to the willy museum in Reykjavik, it was hilarious when we went!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 13/02/2020 21:26

@supermeerkat, DS11 is keen, DD14 not so 😂😂

Greenbutterlfy566 · 14/02/2020 15:32

@fivegomadindorset
Who did you book your Iceland trip through? Would love to do a short break there with my family.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 22/02/2020 10:04

@dorsetcamping I booked through an independent travel agent so it was pricey but it was a birthday present to myself, however if I went again I would do everything myself. Everyone is really helpful and all speaks English. All the hotels are centred round a very small centre although I spoke to a family who had booked and apartment through booking.com. We had our trips booked through Arctic Adventures who were excellent and specialised in small groups but again there are other tours available. Any other help please PM me. We all loved it so much and planning a return trip in the summer in a couple of years and hiring a car to see some more of the country
