I have two days off so I’m going to my ‘nother mothers house and she is going to have my son for two nights, he hasn’t stayed over before so I’m nervous. On my days off we are going to do something, but I haven’t decided what yet, we might go to legoland.

MinkowskisButterfly · 12/02/2020 18:13

Going to chill factore and a few playdates/birthday parties and a couple of chilled days doing nothing.

Taswama · 12/02/2020 18:18

No trips away. DP is doing Mon / Tues and will probably take them swimming on one of those days.
I’m doing Weds to Fri and have nothing planned for Weds. Thursday I have booked DS1 in for a private horse riding lesson but unless the weather is awful we will cycle there and stop off at the park and cafe for lunch on the way home. Friday DS2 and I are trying out family yoga, will leave DS1 at home. Need to get feet measured that week as well.

MashedPotatoBrainz · 12/02/2020 18:21

Nothing. Term time is hectic with school, activities, appointments etc. A week of nothing for me and gaming for DS is heaven.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 12/02/2020 18:31

DH and DD are off on a Dinosaur adventure day at a local steam railway as a joint birthday treat (36 and 7yo)

We have a few days booked in a cabin in the Peak District

Other days... 8yo DD had decided she wants to do her Cub Chef badge, trip to the library, maybe swimming. Meeting up with friends on Saturday.

DelurkingAJ · 12/02/2020 20:15

DH is in charge (teacher) and I will be at work. They’re planning a very chilled week (most plans so far appear to be the important question of what we will eat!) although I have gently suggested that DPIL might like to see them for a couple of days. DSs are 7 and 3.

MrsJonesAndMe · 12/02/2020 20:33

One day is a friends day, one day is a sports club, one day a trip to a museum and one day to IKEA. Other bits will be baking some pancakes, a walk at a NT property is the weather allows or soft play/swimming.

Greenbutterlfy566 · 13/02/2020 09:12

Around - can I ask where In the Peak District? I’ve never been before and always wondered what it’s like there.

Bluewavescrashing · 13/02/2020 09:22

I'm not working (teacher). Not going away as DH and I had a child free trip recently.

Money is a bit tight so cheap or free things mainly. DCs have loads of craft activity sets left over from Christmas so we'll do those. Films, park, colouring, cooking. Friends round maybe. Country Park if weather is bearable.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 13/02/2020 09:40

@Greenbutterlfy566 we are staying right at the Southern edge. But we were students in Sheffield and spent various weekends in various parts. My memories are lots of hills, reservoirs and fantastic pubs. My 6yo has declared she wants to climb a mountain this year, so a big hill to walk up is our aim for the trip (weather permitting!)

Greenbutterlfy566 · 13/02/2020 09:42

Blue- it’s nice to have some downtime

Nowayorhighway · 13/02/2020 10:02

Toucan box, baking, museums, art galleries, park. The cold never bothered me anyway Wink.

PenguinsOnParade · 13/02/2020 10:33

Nothing. We only get a long weekend for mid-term and DC go to their dad's from Friday to Sunday.

LadyR77 · 13/02/2020 11:28

We're doing a couple of days at Disneyland Paris (me, DH, DS6 and DSD18). I'm working the other 3 days, so DS will be with DH and/or DSD.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 13/02/2020 11:57

I have just booked a wildlife workshop at Pets at Home.

crosser62 · 13/02/2020 12:01

Disney Disney and more Disney with a little bit of Universal and a few water parks thrown in...😁

5 years saving and planning people...5 fecking years and it’s finally here!!!!!

Allflightscancelled · 13/02/2020 12:06

Our half term isn't until w/c 24 Feb but we're going to the coast in Dorset for five days. Our family has a teeny weeny house there and it's very near the sea so dd and her friend will probably just potter about on the beach and in the town and DH and I can relax and be old farts for a few days. The kids will only want to see us when it's mealtime, I'm sure

sugarbum · 13/02/2020 12:16

As a whole family, nothing. I had a family event planned (escape room) but DH can't get the time off, so I'm taking friends instead.

DS2 broke his wrist last week, so I've taken more time off than I planned as he can't go to holiday club (they do soft play, swimming and other sports) so I will probably take him and his friend to the local woods/park for random den making even if DS2 has to do it one-handed. I doubt DS1 will join in. He's in teenage mode.

Over the weekend going to help a friend level out her garden. Not sure what use I'll be with my dodgy hip. Hoping DS1 will be useful. DS2 will only be able to instruct and eat cake.

Cinema trip to see Sonic the Hedgehog which is the only thing both of them will be willing to see.

Oh and a fun trip to the dentist for DC.

DH has them both on Friday. No idea what he'll do with them.

boredboredboredboredbored · 13/02/2020 12:25

My parents are taking my two (16 & 15) off on a cruise to Dubai. Bless them they're doing it as a favour to me as I'm on honeymoon in Sri-Lanka 🌞🌞🌞

SisterAgathaVanHelsing · 13/02/2020 12:30

Revision here for A Level mocks. So we'll probably steer well clear, provide tea and snacks and maybe go to the cinema together if we're lucky.

Zurina · 13/02/2020 12:31

I'm takig DD to my grandparents, DP isn't coming.
