Sausage and apple plait which I'm actually making myselfShock
Broccoli, cauli, carrots, peas and onion gravy
Think I might even make a syrup sponge for pudding
With all that stodge I challenge even Ciara to blow me off my feet Grin

I had 12 bell peppers in the fridge so I blended them with spices and made rice.

HemlockStarglimmer · 09/02/2020 14:31

The sandwiches that my husband made to eat on the train. But eating them at home as the train is cancelled. Hopefully he will be able to travel tomorrow instead.

The wind has snapped a huge tree right in half at the bottom of the field opposite our house - it was a massive, mature tree, and it’s just broken right off. So sad. ☹️

LittleMachine · 09/02/2020 14:38

Oh how I love reading what people are eating!
Slow cooked gammon in honey with cranberry sauce, roast potatoes, cabbage, parsnips, carrots, broccoli, babycorn and Yorkshire pudding here. Chocolate cake for pudding. Gin.

LimpLettice · 09/02/2020 14:40

Fillet steaks, cheesy leek champ, mushrooms. Almond pancakes and lemon for pud.

rockingthelook · 09/02/2020 14:52

morrocan chicken casserole with giant couscous in the slow cooker for me, smells lush

TheHallouminati · 09/02/2020 14:55

I'm cooking a smoked ham currently, ready to shred and add to my homemade spiced lentil and red pepper soup.
Smells divine and takes me back to my childhood 🙂

CwtchesCuddles · 09/02/2020 14:58

I've made a big pot of chicken, veg and potato stew in a rich gravy. We will have it with crusty bread to mop up all of the yumminess!

bigchris · 09/02/2020 15:01

@SuperMeerkat perhaps you should turn the national news on the radio

hope you don't get delayed by any fallen trees

OlaEliza · 09/02/2020 15:02

Pesto fish with chilli & garlic courgetti and avocado salad.

Sugar free jelly for dessert.

👼

MsLumley · 09/02/2020 15:23

I'm making homemade chicken katsu curry with gyoza and pickled cucumber. Bring on dinnertime!

LiveFatsDieYoGnu · 09/02/2020 15:31

This thread is making me drool!

We're having dal with rice and a selection of pickles. If I'm feeling keen I may make raita as well.

Bluesheep8 · 09/02/2020 15:37

Porridge for breakfast
A big bowl of Homemade dhal from last night's tea for lunch
Homemade vegetable soup for tea. DP is having jam roly poly with custard for pudding.
Also made the most amazing banana loaf with some overripe bananas. Had to sample just a teeny corner.

hhsa · 09/02/2020 15:38

We had chick peas rice with mince meat with potato and peas. Making pancakes for kids now. And dinner maybe jacket potatoes with tuna topping or fish fingers burgers. Yum yum....

Forrandomposts · 09/02/2020 15:38

Mmmmm I had a big bowl of sausage and lentil stew with a side of salty roasted courgette.

Anyone else thinking we need a 'drool' emoji?

DonnaDarko · 09/02/2020 15:41

Dinner will be gammon with roast potatoes and lots of veg.

I decided to make banana bread about an hour ago as we had 5 very overripe bananas. Looking forward to that coming out the oven imminently!

Bluesheep8 · 09/02/2020 15:42

supermeerkat at the risk of pointing out the blindingly obvious, it really depends on where people are in the country. I wonder if the people whose homes have been flooded not far from me would appreciate being asked why they're making such a fuss by someone who happens to be in an area which is not so badly affected.

Hellokittymania · 09/02/2020 15:47

Peanut butter hot chocolate, coffee, focaccia and some Indian food I bought yesterday at the farmers market. I’m so glad that I heard about the storm while I was on the train yesterday… Otherwise, I would have been completely caught out.

TheFastandTheCurious · 09/02/2020 15:55

King prawn chilli spaghetti

1moreRep · 09/02/2020 15:57

bean chilli, cheese served in wraps and then a cup of tea with a gold bar (or 2)

crumpledlinen · 09/02/2020 16:22

Gammon, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage and chips.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 09/02/2020 16:38

Why does even a lovely thread like this have to attract a twat
Law of averages I suppose
Just finished at the gym
So off home shortly to put dinner in the oven and pour myself a gin and tonic
Hope everyone is keeping safe and warm
