Homemade pancakes for breakfast, homemade pizzas for late lunch early dinner and sandwiches this evening😊

Bunnyfuller · 09/02/2020 13:49

Roast lamb etc and lovely gooey brownies with some vanilla ice cream

cwg1 · 09/02/2020 13:50

Ooh - lovely thread.

Please, what's the connection between Poor Man's Stew and Wesley (? the Methodist).

Everything sounds yummy...

latheritup · 09/02/2020 13:50

Roast pork shoulder with a cider gravy!

Spudlet · 09/02/2020 13:53

Mary Berry’s winter beef stew here. It has horseradish and paprika in it, so it’s just nicely warming. With broccoli and possibly potatoes Anna (or, if I can’t be bothered with that faff, oven chips Grin)

ILikeyourHairyHands · 09/02/2020 13:54

Bouillabaisse, although I'm currently lazing around in front of the fire contemplating a glass of wine when I should be making some fish stock, I've told myself I'll get started at three!

LouReidDododo · 09/02/2020 13:54

Roast dinner - bit Storm Ciara has been and left and we’re off out to feed the ducks now!

Corned beef pie for lunch. I usually hate corned beef but DH somehow makes it incredible every time.

Stew with dumplings and bread and butter for dinner.

GoingBackTo505 · 09/02/2020 13:58

We were going to go out and get some bits for a roast this morning and just couldn't be arsed with this weather so it's frozen pizza for us this evening! We've had omelette and salad for lunch.

Dancingandthedreaming · 09/02/2020 13:58

No power here so made incredible toasted cheddar mozzarella ham toasties wrapped in foil on the fire, followed by toasted marshmallows. If power goes back on syrup sponge definitely on the menu...

GardenHeartedDreams · 09/02/2020 13:58

Place marking because this thread has such great ideas!

I’m a bit under the weather today so it’ll most likely be something easy like rosti and fish fingers. The DCs and I having such a warm cosy afternoon tucked up in bed together with books and screen time, absolutely guilt-free Smile

doodlejump1980 · 09/02/2020 13:59

Delia’s Pork stroganoff tonight. Yum!

GardenHeartedDreams · 09/02/2020 13:59

Ooh if the power goes out we’ll have to have sandwiches! Hopefully won’t happen but it’s not out of the question.

bedtimestories · 09/02/2020 13:59

We're having pizza after swimming

Wowthisisreal · 09/02/2020 14:00

Fish Pie ☺️

NewYearNewJobNewHome · 09/02/2020 14:03

Got mince and onion in the slow cooker, and pans of spuds/carrots/broccoli/cauli ready to light on Smile also peas and sweetcorn and frozen yorkshires!

Will have apple pie and custard later.

Delicious!

SuperMeerkat · 09/02/2020 14:03

Why on Earth is everyone making such a huge fuss over this. We’re currently doing a 100 mile car ride in the West Country. A bit windy but no problems 🤦‍♀️

HelenaJustina · 09/02/2020 14:05

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, sweetcorn, peas, broccoli, sweet potato mash, Yorkshire puddings.

Just chicken and veg (no potato) for me as ate out last night!

Might do scones for tea later.

happypotamus · 09/02/2020 14:10

Lentil shepherds pie

We had (not homemade) soup for lunch, tomato for DC and chicken and sweet corn for me.
DH made some chocolate cinnamon swirls for pudding.

GardenHeartedDreams · 09/02/2020 14:12

@SuperMeerkat it depends where you are, doesn’t it? In my city all the parks have been closed (and those without gates, the police have strongly advised people not to enter) and we’ve been told not to undertake any non-essential travel. Last I heard, tiles were blowing off one of the historic churches.

SlowSigh · 09/02/2020 14:16

Toad in the hole, mashed potato, cauliflower and broccoli cheese and peas Smile

Babysharkdoodoodood · 09/02/2020 14:18

Harrisa chicken from the Leon one pot cookbook. Got it for Xmas and I've been using it everyday. Easiest recipes ever!

lazylinguist · 09/02/2020 14:21

Homemade cinnamon buns currently in the oven for this afternoon with a cup of tea. Dh is making kale and mushroom lasagne for tonight.

Have you seen the news?? 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ Some of us are without power, some have floods, some have got trees down!

GameSetMatch · 09/02/2020 14:22

Roast beef/nut roast in our house, carrots, broccoli, baby corn, crispy roasties, Yorkshire pudding and gravy and a Cartmel sticky toffee pudding for dessert. I really can not wait!
