Sausage and apple plait which I'm actually making myselfShock
Broccoli, cauli, carrots, peas and onion gravy
Think I might even make a syrup sponge for pudding
With all that stodge I challenge even Ciara to blow me off my feet Grin

Cauliflower, sweet potato and chick pea curry.

Paella - chicken, chorizo, prawns, peas.

Both made this morning.

PinkBuffalo · 09/02/2020 12:51

Powers out where I am due to downed cables so at the moment cereal or sandwich!
I'm with my mum at her nursing home this afternoon where at least it's nice and warm. Will have to leave her early this evening though. Hope the drive home will be ok, it's not too far.
I'm hoping they manage to sort the power out today. I found out via text from UK power network.

Butternut squash and chilli soup. Fresh bread cut doorstop fashion!

undercoveraessedai · 09/02/2020 13:12

Ooh this thread has made me drool!

Chicken pakoras in naan for lunch and there's chicken stew in the slow cooker ready for dinner :) am refusing to change out of my pjs today 😂

BahMooQuack · 09/02/2020 13:16

sausage stew with mash but I would prefer polenta mash.

BahMooQuack · 09/02/2020 13:16

also still in pjs

ItFigures · 09/02/2020 13:18

OP that sounds divine. We are getting ready to go out for Sunday lunch. Yes, we are crazy but we’re getting an Uber as I think we’d get blown off the road. Roast beef and homemade horseradish awaits!

Fully intend on hunkering down post meal. Pyjamas, movies and candles (and a very active 1 year so I’m not sure how relaxing that scene is going to be ha).

katmarie · 09/02/2020 13:19

Mussels in white wine with lots of crusty bread here, I cant wait.

inthekitchensink · 09/02/2020 13:21

Croissants for breakfast
Brunch we had sausages, hash browns, baked beans, scrambled eggs, roast tomatoes & mushrooms
Dinner will be roast chicken thighs, mash & lots of veg

Utterly gluttonous today

AdaColeman · 09/02/2020 13:25

Chicken bake with leeks and cheese for dinner here! Wine Wine

SheldonSaysSo1 · 09/02/2020 13:26

Roast pork belly with roast potatoes, leeks, cabbage and honey roast parsnips

BasinHaircut · 09/02/2020 13:26

I was planning to be out for both lunch and dinner today so we don’t have much food in. It’s just me and DS as DH is away for the weekend (meant to be flying back in the morning so hopefully the storm fucks off!).

I’m just doing falafel and halloumi flat breads with oven chips for lunch, this was meant to be me and DH’s lunch tomorrow.

Tonight I’m not sure yet. After reading this I want dumplings but don’t really have any stew ingredients in.

I’ve got a single portion of bean chilli in the freezer, and a bit of quiche and coleslaw in e fridge but not sure either of those are going to cut the mustard today

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 09/02/2020 13:27

Chicken soup, pecan and rye bread and rice pudding. All homemade

rottiemum88 · 09/02/2020 13:28

Chicken in white wine sauce with roast potatoes and broccoli, followed by (sadly not homemade) jam roly poly and custard

FlyingGoose · 09/02/2020 13:31

Roast beef, Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, Brussels, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower and homemade Red wine gravy. Can't wait!

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 09/02/2020 13:32

Slimming world chicken tikka masala in the slow cooker for later, smells divine!

BiddyPop · 09/02/2020 13:35

Some lovely fresh cod I got yesterday with potatoes (probably creamy mash) and some carrots or mushrooms as veg I think. As DD wanted salmon so I don’t think we’ll be making a creamy pasta thing like I originally intended.

Apple pie.

And I intend baking this afternoon if dd let’s up her “I’m bored” phase (cos I need to do some work reading, typing for admin of 2 different youth groups and packing a suitcase for tomorrow’s work travel before I get to relaxing baking....) but my plan is either a coffee cake or Victoria sponge .

Teacup34 · 09/02/2020 13:39

Got a stew in the slow cooker we will be having this with crusty bread, can't wait!! No pudding tho, I was going to pop out to get a pudding but the weather is too bad!!

HaudMaDug · 09/02/2020 13:39

Lots of coffee and ginger nuts and later I'll rustle up carbonara to use up the last of the eggs and bacon. Easy enough that even I can cook it

EmrysAtticus · 09/02/2020 13:39

Sausage and mash followed by homemade cake :)

Forrandomposts · 09/02/2020 13:40

God this makes me so jealous and so hungry.

I'm on a diet so no Yorkshire puddings, dumplings or syrup sponges for me Sad

PickAChew · 09/02/2020 13:43

Just had some pasta for lunch, with Tuna, Sweetcorn and some arrabbiata sauce from a jar. Planning on making a hairy bikers' chicken korma (not the low fat one!) for dinner for me and DH. I'll freeze half the sauce for another time.

Babdoc · 09/02/2020 13:44

Food to keep warm?! The sun is blazing through the window here in Scotland and I’ve had to turn the heating off! Yes it’s very windy, but a gorgeous day.
I’m having home made courgette and cumin soup for lunch, with a nice cold drink as I’m hot and thirsty after painting a ceiling.

Livpool · 09/02/2020 13:46

Spicy peri peri chicken 😋

Marmite27 · 09/02/2020 13:46

Cottage pie and veg. Spiced apple tea loaf and custard.
