Do you have time to talk about our lord and saviour, Jurgen Klopp?

I'm running out of words to describe this liverpool team. I've waited my whole life to see them win the league, and we're going to do it in spectacular fashion. Anyone want to join me? Wine

Surprised at the Klopp hatred here. He seems to be a decent sort to me.

DH is a lifelong Liverpool fan (the children are now complete Ultras) and this weekend has finally allowed himself to believe that they will win the league.

tillythedog · 02/02/2020 22:16

i'm not going to believe it until the final whistle on May 17th 😅

DaanSaaf · 02/02/2020 22:19

I'm a bit surprised myself, I have a lot of friends who support Everton or Man U and even they agree he's a great manager and lovely guy. Must be jealousy Wink

Greatest team of a generation my eye. Even the man city team a few years back was better, then the invincibles, then man u 99

Livpool · 02/02/2020 22:19

Loving him and the success! It makes a change from 'recent'.

My DH is an Everton fan and he is happy for us (we're both from mixed-team families so good-humoured)

DaanSaaf · 02/02/2020 22:20

@tillythedog it'll be loooong before then Smile

In what way??

He really slipped at Dortmund after a few seasons so they need to guard against that

Patroclus · 02/02/2020 22:23

attacking at man cit, invincibles with defence and Henry/Bergkamp then Man u 99 for the youth team

HopeClearwater · 02/02/2020 22:24

Me! I have time...

In our house we bow when the mighty Jurgen appears on screen. We are not worthy Grin

By all accounts a nice man, a principled man and a bloody great manager. As for us being unbearable ... people have short memories. Man U fans under Ferguson were beyond unbearable not that long ago.

Look at the guy when we score - he LOVES it!

Mrsmartinkemp · 02/02/2020 22:24

He's an absolutely joyful man and testament to the fact that nice guys don't finish last. Go on you reds!

CherieBabySpliffUp · 02/02/2020 22:27

Like xTinkerhellx I'm not going to relax until it's statistically impossible for anyone to beat us Football

SwedishEdith · 02/02/2020 22:27

I adore him. Class, brains, humour and looks.

Queenonfleek · 02/02/2020 22:29

How bitter can people be in the face of another’s success? Sad reflection that people can not at least acknowledge what an achievement he has made.. he has not disrespected the cup as is fielding a team that beat a premier league team.

You don’t need to support Liverpool but I see nothing to define him as a “bell end” - key board warrior who has never kicked a ball l

ddraigygoch · 02/02/2020 22:32

My husband actually shouts "quiet God is talking" when he does his post match interviews and the kids actually stop talking sit down and listen!!!

I can't get them to shut up for 2 seconds any other time.

Jabee · 02/02/2020 22:33

With you all the way op. In Klopp we trust. YNWA.

jaffaeclipse · 02/02/2020 22:38

Who is he, never heard of him ?

ddraigygoch · 02/02/2020 22:40

God. Literally God.
Answerer of prayers.
Giver of mercy and hope.
Bringer of trophies...

Susiesue61 · 02/02/2020 22:48

I live in a house of Reds. My children are all brainwashed 😆
DH has a season ticket!
They need to win the league to stop his moaning that he's waited 30 years. I'm a Tottenham fan and we've waited 59 up to now (typed 49 first and then realised it was worse than that!)
DD is 18 and in love with Hendo and Trent.
Theres a picture of Klopp above my bed

SunsetOverEasterIsland · 02/02/2020 22:57

I just love how Jurgen has been living rent free in Pep's head for months now Smile. Jurgen has built a team of players who want to play for each other, the fans and our great club. Our owners and Klopp deserve all the plaudits for balancing the books and only spending what we get by selling players.

Pep has only managed clubs where he is given eye-watering amounts of money, from bottomless pockets, where as Klopp builds teams with heart and the will to want to play for him.
As for those with short memories regards the FA Cup, Man Utd decided they wouldn't play in it a few years ago to try and become World Club Champions. We coped with both back in December due to fantastic management of the complete squad and youngsters.
Yes we will be unbearable and won't let anyone forget it. We are Liverpool, Champions of Europe, World Club Champions and soon to be Premier League Champions 😁👍

OhWhatFuckeryIsThisNow · 02/02/2020 22:59

I’m sorry, in this house we worship at the temple of Chris Wilder.

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 02/02/2020 23:00

Amazing manager and amazing team who seem so bonded with each other.
I often fall down the rabbit hole of you tube and watch anything and everything I can find such as showing training at melwood etc.
Completely agree with the use of the whole squad for all matches. He is honouring the winter break and giving the up and coming talent much needed match time. It has been a tough few weeks of fixtures and he needs to keep first team players match fit.
We are lucky enough to have such a good squad that he can pick and choose. I'm sure he will play Origi,Minamino and Lallana to name just a few so hardly disrespecting the competition! Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliot are also worthy of a place in the team as they are the future first team.

finished31 · 02/02/2020 23:01

Best team in the world! So proud to support Liverpool. YNWA.

myrtleWilson · 02/02/2020 23:05

Ah the Danny Ings love in on Saturday was just awesome. I love Klopp - let's talk about six baby - him on the bus was hilarious.

myrtleWilson · 02/02/2020 23:10

Oh and disagree with the FA Cup comments... the premier league sent every club an instruction 'we expect you to honour the sentiment of the mid season break and ensure players use this time to rest, therefore we do not expect you to organise friendliest or other semi competitive matches' they then can't say oh except for cup replays. I get the premier league and FA cup are different entities but if the PL can't organise a mid season break without it being a non break then that's their lookout. Klopp has been very vocal from the get go that players are overworked.
