Igottastartthinkingbee · 02/02/2020 22:43

redastherose · 02/02/2020 22:56

15 and aged 49. Been in the current one longest as I've lived here for 13 years. Moved a fair bit as a child then bought my first house when I was 20. Moved around the country a couple of times and rented when relocating whilst selling etc.

welshmercury · 02/02/2020 22:59

I had lived in at least 10 different places before leave by for uni at 18. Stepfather was MoD plus they separated and got back together a number of times.

When I started uni it genuinely surprised me that a roommate had lived in the same house for 18 years. Couldn’t get my head round it.

Post-18 9 different homes in different towns. I’m now 41 and own first home and we moved in here 2013.

My mum once had the audacity to tell me that my younger brother struggled with all the moving he only lived in 5 different places up to 18 and most of them were long stints. He was only boy and got away with everything. There are 4 of us altogether.

NeverTwerkNaked · 02/02/2020 23:01

This is house number 13 for me (including uni houses etc). Am 38. Not planning to move again until possibly at retirement if we downsize

AgeLikeWine · 02/02/2020 23:07

In the first 29 years of my life, I lived in 16 different homes, including three on the same street. Since then, I have lived in the same house for over a decade, and have no plans to move.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 02/02/2020 23:19

16, 15 of those as an adult, but been in our current house for the last 14 years.

Little DS lived in 3 houses by the time he was 2.5. Just after we’d moved into the third we went on holiday camping. When we put the tent up, he looked at it, sighed and said in the most world weary voice ever, “So is this our new house now then?”

ThunderboltandLightning · 02/02/2020 23:24

No idea (47). Parents are in second house in my lifetime, but I lived in at least 8 at uni (long degree), then moved jobs very regularly for the next few years. Then I joined the Army, and met and married a soldier. We moved lots. Been in this house 6 years. Bored of it, itchy feet, need to move. DH doesn't feel the same though.

Pipandmum · 02/02/2020 23:46

I'm 57. 21 over three countries. I'm in the ninth that I've owned. Longest I've lived in a house was my first marital home (8 years) and current one (8 years by the time I leave in 18 months).

mindfulprep · 02/02/2020 23:59

Mid thirties and 21 places

500milegirl · 02/02/2020 23:59

I’m 37 and I’ve lived in 10 houses
2 with parents and 8 in the last 10 years, I really need to buy but I think I have a wild spirit and can’t settle anywhere for more than a few years. Same with jobs I’ve worked in one sector my entire life doing the same job, but have never held a job in one single department for more than 2 years either. I’ve had 12 jobs in 16 years.

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 03/02/2020 00:01

I’m 47. Not counting boarding houses and uni halls -
8 houses through my childhood.
3 through my adulthood, but that includes inheriting and inhabiting the last home from my childhood - moved here 30 year ago and inherited it 16 years ago. To those who knew them it’s still my parents’ home -even though I’ve lived here longer than they did!

Littleroundsponge · 03/02/2020 00:02

3 soon to be 4 and I'm 33

Em8725 · 03/02/2020 00:08

16, I’m 25.
5 as an adult.
My childhood wasn’t settled at all. I’m very good at moving!
