How many homes have you lived in? (And how old are you?)

Dh and I are both early 60s, I’ve lived in 13 places, he’s lived in 9. Ds1 30-6. Twin 1 (28)-2. Twin 2-5. Dd (22) 5.

14 homes, age 43.

8 and I’m 29

19 aged 55. Ex was in the forces and we moved ALOT!

Late 30s. I think 30 houses since I was born. Weirdly I find it hard to settle down now

I’ve lived in my family home, halls of residence, student house and my current house. I’m 30.

9 different houses. 4 of which I have bought and sold...I’m 31. DH is military though!

15 I think, I'm nearly 50.

53 yo, 9 homes. Longest 24 years (current one) shortest 9 months.

I moved a lot in my early-mid 20s. Strangely, it a as the same time as the poll tax. Not that the two were related of course.

mrbob I've lived in 20 and I also struggle to settle.

21 aged 55. Ex was in the forces and we moved ALOT!

12 homes I think*, age 32.

*For 3 of those (and I feel like there could be a 4th making the total 13 but I genuinely can't remember) I was technically homeless and stayed with different people until I got settled somewhere of my own. One of those three places was a house share, I'd met one of the tenants in the pub and moved in shortly after. It was an awful, awful house, and he was a strange, strange guy.

I’m 40
I just counted 12. 10 of those since I left home! I was expecting more.

14 not counting uni houses, 17 if you count uni houses. Im 38.

I'm 36 and am currently in my 12th house (I think!) I move a lot! Growing up I lived in the same house for nearly 20 years.

Mid twenties - 4 (+ 2 different uni flats)

3 as a child
3 in uni and 3 is the two years after uni
Finally bought our house 3 years ago and this is the longest I’ve stayed in one place since I moved out at 18.

Though should say, as awful as the house was and as strange as the guy was, it was far better than the alternative of being having no roof over my head. And I guess a non-strange guy would not have let a 21 year old young woman he'd just met in the pub move in with him.

Too many to count, unless I really concentrate on it. Off the top of my head, probably about twenty. But it’s actually more than that.

32 and I'm 45

I’m 47 and former army brat and former army wife.

I’ve lived in 33 separate addresses but even some of those I moved away and then lived in again at a later date.

3 of those were different houses on the same base as was there twice with dad and once with ex husband

Another 2 were on a different base but again once with dad and once with ex husband

I’ve been at my current address 3 years, the longest I’ve been at one address is 9 years the shortest 7 months.

I get restless and irritable if I don’t move around this point. But it gets harder to cope as I get older.

I’m a demon packer I well remember being about to move into a shared flat with a friend, we each only had one room to pack, she took 2 WEEKS to do hers...she was freaking out when on the morning of the day we were moving I still hadn’t even set up the boxes! Took me 4 hours and that was slow for me!

I can also pack for a week away anywhere using only hand luggage (and even then I won’t necessarily wear it all).

But I have at least one friend who’s only ever lived at her parents and with her husband and they’re only 1 street away from her parents in that house! I cannot imagine doing that it’s so far removed from my experience but then she’s the same with my constant moving.

35, have lived in 7 places including student halls and our current house.

I'm 28, currently in my 9th place. Moving again this year. Hopefully will buy in the next 5 so much less moving

Oh and I’m 43.

Mid thirties. I have lived in 12 properties I think. Basically made it to age 20 in just two properties, then lived in houseshares for around 7 years. Been in the same place now for over 6 years. So glad my sharing days are over.

Early 50s, and I think 27 or 28 (every house, flat or uni room I've been in >1 month).
14 different cities, towns or villages.
