Just that really, we are in Ireland and my dcs school times are
8.40- 1.20 (Dd age 6)
And DS’s age 8 and 11 are 8.40-2.20

Dd is 13, so in secondary school. 8:40-2:55

8:45am-3pm
Infant school in England.

Primary (reception) 8.55am-3pm
Same school but KS1 8.55am-3.15pm

It's a bugger to wait those 15 minutes on a wet / cold day.

8.30-3pm

Mon, tues, Thurs, Fri 810-1145. With the aim that by the end of the year when they are walking by themselves they make up to Kindergarten 2's hours

No after school club on Wed or Fri pm. Only before school club (7am) on a Tuesday.
Lunch is brought in for the children who are in after school club M, T, Th. But....e.g. the children in year 1/2 who are native speakers and don't have an extra language lesson start on Monday after lunch at 1420. So even if they've had lunch at school, have to go home from 1330-1415.

Secondary 8.20-3.20 with sport until 5 two afternoons a week. DD also has a 7.30am start for choir (optional) two mornings a week

Massive variation around the world - some really long hours.

DD is 8.45 to 4 and 3. 45 finish on Fridays

DS 12 - 8.40-3pm
Dd7 - 9-3

US high school
7.50 to 2.50.

They put it back 20 minutes a few years ago - it used to be 7.30 to 2.30.

I always found the early start made it much easier for me to hold down a full time job when they were little. It was easy to arrange after school care - I usually hired an after school nanny.
