I currently have a sausage casserole in the oven and the smell is making me hungry! Sausages with beans, tomatoes and winter vegetables, to be served with sides of cheesy mash and green beans.

What is everyone cooking tonight?

Too tired for anything else (I'm tired from being 39 weeks pg and DH is tired from all the setting things up I made him do)

Pot roast brisket, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, tender-stem broccoli and savoy cabbage with Yorkshire puddings and lashings of Bisto Best 🤤

bluechameleon · 19/01/2020 17:47

Moroccan meatballs baked with eggs, cheesy bread and green veg. I'll do some pasta for the children because they refuse to accept that meatballs can be served without.

ActualHornist · 19/01/2020 17:47

Absolutely shocked how many of you aren’t having a roast!

About 20 mins before the roast chicken is ready here. Can’t wait, haven’t had one since Christmas. I’ve bought some kale to try with it as I had some in a restaurant and it was really nice.

PointlessUsername · 19/01/2020 17:48

Chicken, green beans & butter nut squash curry with rice, nann and popadoms.

TheSheepofWallSt · 19/01/2020 17:48

Eat early as it’s just me and 3 to DS.

We had the joojah chicken from the Persiana cookbook with rice, Zatar roast cauliflower and broccoli, and I had some Chermoula on the side.

I do 16:8 fasting, so I’ll probably have some cheese and apple at about 7.30 as I know I haven’t eaten enough today and tomorrow’s fast will be rough if I don’t.

My husband is making a homemade fish pie. Even the sauce is made from scratch!

Twigletgirl27 · 19/01/2020 17:56

Asda lamb shanks in mint sauce, which were yellow stickered, with roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, green beans, sprouts and peas. All the vegetables! Got to wait until football is finished though...😩

4forkssake · 19/01/2020 17:57

Toad in the hole, mash, veg & red onion gravy. Followed by 🍒 pie

PlugUgly1980 · 19/01/2020 17:57

Cottage pie I made yesterday with carrots and sprouts for 3 of us. DD has had a sickness bug and is having toast and a packet of crisps because that's what she fancies!

Camomila · 19/01/2020 17:59

We had ours at lunchtime Smile Its easier to wash/clean up after in the day for us rather than coming up to bedtime.

Pyjamaface · 19/01/2020 18:00

Sausages with mashed potatoes and yorkshires +
broccoli and peas for DS
Cheesy leeks, maple roast parsnips and kale for me and DP.

Was going to be Swiss roll for pud but I majorly overdid it so we're all too stuffed.

Also not looking forward to washing up as my dishwasher died 2 days ago Sad

DailyMailHater · 19/01/2020 18:43

We had roast chicken with all the sides at lunch time so aren’t having a big evening meal, DS has had cheese on toast and tomato soup and DH and I are going to gorge on cheese and biscuits once Ds is in bed.

ThomasShelbysBunnet · 19/01/2020 19:00

Chicken pie with mashed potatoes, green cabbage, turnip mash and maybe a croquette.

MulticolourMophead · 19/01/2020 19:09

Goulash, cooked by DS as practice for his food exam. I'm eating it now and it's yummy.

pinkyboots1 · 19/01/2020 19:11

Cowboy stew followed by baked apple filled with mincemeat and topped with yoghurt.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/01/2020 19:11

Goulash is nice - I haven’t made that for ages. Mmmmmm.

I’ve made some soup too to add to the stupid amount of cooking I’m doing. Oh well, keeps me busy I suppose.

Lordfrontpaw · 19/01/2020 19:12

Cowboy stew!! With peppers, bean and tomatoes? Yum.

Bubblysqueak · 19/01/2020 19:16

Chicken casserole and dumplings!
