Who else would really appreciate a polite discussion of gender issues and the concerns of women at the jess Philips webchat on Monday?

I posted on the webchat thread:
Since the questions have already been asked I am not allowed to repeat similar but I want on record that self ID, its potential abuse, protection of vulnerable young people from those who promote transition which can sometimes include puberty blockers, the protection of natal women's rights and the importance of teaching biological facts in schools are big concerns to me.

MNHQ have said they don't want any more comments or questions about gender issues on the Web chat thread which I can understand. However what I do want to make clear is the number of people who may share some or all of my concerns. Otherwise any questions about gender issues are of an equal weight to all others and in fact others, which can be repeated in a different form, may seem to gain more weight.

Are we allowed to participate this time?

Lordfrontpaw · 31/01/2020 17:35

Probably not.

StealthPolarBear · 31/01/2020 18:13

Well the second question to address gender /women's rights mentions there are 200+ of us which was always my aim
Keep this bumped

I did post something along the lines of "I'm also concerned about gender issues". I then saw MN's post about instant punishment and reported myself with an apology and explanation. I realise that was probably cowardly of me, but I really can't do without MN atm.

I'm glad someone has said how many of us there are, anyway. Perhaps we should send him a link to this thread?

StealthPolarBear · 31/01/2020 18:35

Jux were better off here and able to post than banned.
Presumably the multiple questions about brexit will incur many deletions, I'm waiting.

What do we think will happen on Monday? Will he skirt around the issues? What would be the ideal answer? I think just "I'm listening with an open mind"

Ha! Just been deleted ( with the patronising rap over the knuckles from MNHQ) for asking a question about academic freedom of speech. I didn’t mention the trans, I promise!! I think there is one other quest about freedom of speech (Fist bump to @gcacademic ) but from a different perspective.

So goodness knows what doesn’t count as a repeat question.

Lordfrontpaw · 02/02/2020 16:10

Does that count as a strike?

Jux · 02/02/2020 16:30

I think he'll just do the same as JP did.. TWAW - it gets them a free pass wrt every bit of legislation and aspect of life. Nothing would have to change anywhere if it were true that TWAW so much the easiest way to deal with it. The few outraged women there are can fight about it on MN and reddit....it's only about 200 after all.

That's what he'll do.

Jux · 02/02/2020 16:35

I also think that there are a lot of TRAs who will be emailing directly to KS, and who will be exhorting all their friends from all over the world, and all their sockpuppets to email about it. So when it comes to it, he'll have had system crashes due to the number of emails he's got saying TWAW against 200 of us saying "are they?".

StealthPolarBear · 02/02/2020 21:16

I assume the multiple brexit questions have been deleted too? Or is it just women's rights?

OP posts:
Dolorabelle · 02/02/2020 22:08

Yeah, Stealth I did notice that other topics were permitted more than one question ....

StealthPolarBear · 03/02/2020 14:06

So far so nothing
