Is it weird that I’m nearly 40 and never been to a wedding?

I guess it’s just circumstantial, about half of my friends aren’t married, others were already married when I met them, a handful got married abroad and I couldn’t afford to go.
I never went to any weddings growing up as I come from a tiny family and similar aged relatives have never been married.
Is this unusual or any others out there never been to a wedding?
I should add, I’ve been with DP 10 years and no marriage on the cards but I might change that if it turns out I am weird and need to get to a wedding pronto!!

You’ve saved a few quid! I worked out that attending my ex SIL wedding cost me about £1600 . As an adult I think I’ve been to 15 weddings, bridesmaid 4 times and 5th time will be this September.

It’s always an honour to be invited but I’m not going to lie, sometimes my heart sinks a bit. I don’t think it’s weird you haven’t had to go though, i went through a sort of friendship wasteland for a few years and didn’t go to any during that period and i have 12 first cousins
