Don’t utterly gorgeous names of course

New puppy- everyone here has a dog called Archie, Alfie or Teddy and of course they’re popular because they’re great names- I want to yell a name and only have one dog come back Grin

I have a list to do for the kids and husband for this little fella as nobody can agree

I like Bellamy (after the ledge that is David Bellamy)
Brian (fab name for a Dog I think )
Rufus
Tank
Bowie (Dave was a hero ) 😊

Family hate all of those

This is not him but a photo that’s a very close
Resemblance

Save me from The name Alfie and Archie please

Ziggy, has the Bowie connection and is v cute.

Mummy2one2016 · 13/01/2020 13:25

Bellamy is lovely. Also like Ozwald, we currently have a cocker spaniel we adopted called Gordon it's really suit him.

Make sure it's an easy name to shout out for when you want to recall the dog. I always find it's good to have a little practice with the names you like.

LizzieMacQueen · 13/01/2020 13:25

I've got it ... Stanley.

I met a labradoodle called Dave he was lovely.

Did named our boy after her favourite character in her favourite book... He's black the character is the leader of the night army :)

I saw a lost dog poster and photo recently, and the dog was a fluffy cute one,and named Scooter.

MikeUniformMike · 13/01/2020 13:35

Rufus is a dog's name and likely to attract all the dogs that aren't called Alfie, Archie or Teddy.
I think Bruce would be a good name.

OddBoots · 13/01/2020 13:48

What have family suggested?

BaolFan · 13/01/2020 13:49

Shorter names are better for training - and the dog will learn it quicker as well.

I love the name Brian for a dog. I'd also go for Toby or Colin - but then I quite like traditional human names for pets!

Dreamersandwishers · 13/01/2020 13:49

I know a few Archies & Alfies and they are lovely but here it’s quite a common name.
Love Brian, George, Charlie, Graham . I love Dave too.
Personally I love cute dogs with human names 😂
