I’m upset about some things but I have lots to be grateful for and want to try to acknowledge that more.

Today I’m grateful that I’m meeting a good friend for a nice lunch! I’m also grateful for my health and my family, DH and friends but trying to find something specific to today!

If anyone else wants to share then please do 🍰

Today I’m grateful that DH cooked my dinner and that I can sleep in a bit as I’m able to work from home tomorrow...

I like this op, after a bit of a rubbish year I'm trying to focus on having a more positive outlook and I've started finding three things I'm grateful for each day, it really does lift my spirits.

Today's ones were having a half day off work with a couple of hours of me time this afternoon. That ds is doing much better with his anxiety and that I have a job which allows me to work extra hours to support us as a family.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 14/01/2020 21:58

@dappledsunshine I’m sorry you had a tough year too but I am hopeful for 2020!

Gotta have hope bunny!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 15/01/2020 09:43

Yes!

Today I am grateful that a friend introduced me to the local running group and I might go out with them later. I think they’re older ladies and it will be an easy run but I want to meet new people where I live.

Not especially for me...but today we are going to a wedding of two friends who have had a really tough time getting to this point, so I am grateful that they have finally got there. At last!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 15/01/2020 09:51

Literally grateful for food, warmth , shelter and clean running hot and cold water.

We have so much in our country and I really appreciate it.

Was chatting with my 16 years old grandson..always a delight...and told him that even though his parents have always struggled a bit he’s had far more than me in his life already.

A lovely warm centrally heated house for eg, loads of holidays abroad..Florida, Dubai, Greece, Tenerife, his own mobile phone, a tv, a car in the family

I never considered my family poorly off but We had one coal fire in the sitting room and regularly woke to ice on. The insides of the windows in winter, no house phone till I was 17, no mobile till I was about 30, no tv till I was about 5 and an old jalopy of a car when I was 5... think ford standard ( box on wheels) with the little arrow light indicatorS that came out of the sides of the car. We didn’t have our first holiday till I was about 5 . He went to Florida at 18 months.

We lived in a very modern New council house..otherwise the story would’ve been so different. Toilet down backyard and bath under kitchen table.

I am very grateful for what we have.

It’s true we have so much to be grateful for that is easy to take for granted, like, a home, food, warmth

I think I’m grateful to have the people I have. I lost someone very precious last year but I try to focus on those I do have and every year I have with the people I love is a blessing

Wedding was absolutely wonderful!
I did have a tear in my eye,
Yes, we have much to be grateful for and that's not always easy to feel when you've lost someone closeFlowers

BunnytheBlueWhale · 15/01/2020 19:53

Oh good pram

The thing is losing someone kind of makes you scared to lose anyone else! We know what’s possible but you don’t think it’s going to happen to you and then it does and you realise how lucky you are every day that you don’t get the worst news... for me anyway... I don’t always feel positive obviously but I am trying!

Hi Smile Can I play? Smile
Today, I'm grateful that yesterday my kids had full and interesting days with both old and new friends.

SleepDeprivedElf · 15/01/2020 21:32

Aww I love a good wedding Pram

I'm grateful to have a funny husband. And a chubby, beautful toddler who steals your glasses and gives you kisses. And they give me a fabulous welcome in the morning and when I pick them up.

Whynosnowyet · 15/01/2020 21:34

Grateful for ddog still being here nearly a year after having cancer!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 15/01/2020 21:42

I'm grateful for my friend today. Our children do a shared hobby and she's always happy to share the running about. Today she took them and I collected them. Makes it so much easier.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 15/01/2020 22:02

Today I am grateful for some new boots I bought 😂 I’m grateful that I was able to take an hour out to myself to go shopping at lunch time and buy something I wanted. I’m also grateful for the second pair I ordered when I got back to work.... 🙄

I’m grateful that I have a day off tomorrow so I can sleep in a little and relax

PenelopeFlintstone · 17/01/2020 09:52

Today, I’m grateful to have a second house so I can get away from my teenagers.

PenelopeFlintstone · 17/01/2020 12:03

I’m grateful for the rain that’s fallen in Australia.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 17/01/2020 21:35

I posted what I’m grateful for on the wrong thread today. Awkward.

I’m grateful I had a day off. I’m grateful my root canal wasn’t as scary as I thought it’d be. I’m grateful DH listened to me when I called him at lunchtime having a meltdown. I’m grateful for a nice warm home when it’s freezing outside!
