I’m upset about some things but I have lots to be grateful for and want to try to acknowledge that more.

Today I’m grateful that I’m meeting a good friend for a nice lunch! I’m also grateful for my health and my family, DH and friends but trying to find something specific to today!

If anyone else wants to share then please do 🍰

So... today I’m grateful that I feel well rested and refreshed. I enjoyed my yoga class. I’m grateful that I don’t have anything major I need to do this weekend so can just relax!

Wow Babblebee enjoy your celebration, what fantastic news!

LuvMyBoyz · 18/01/2020 19:45

I have kept a gratefulness diary each night for three years and it has helped changed my whole outlook (along with mindfulness). I ignore everything except what was good and do general things (health, partner, children etc) if there is nothing specific.

Today I am grateful for a good night’s sleep, being able to do a family walk in the countryside, time to do coffee and newspaper.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 18/01/2020 19:49

It’s good to know you’ve done it has helped Luv I want to try to focus more on the positive things

I am grateful for the breath in my lungs, the power to make my own decisions and the health and happiness of my DCs. Long may it continue.

Thistimetomorrow · 18/01/2020 20:03

I am grateful to be sitting in a warm cosy house with my DH of over 30 years, getting to my 50s with no major illness and no aches or pains. The beautiful pink, blue cloudy sky tonight.

SleepDeprivedElf · 20/01/2020 19:42

A very kind woman has taken ownership of our long running housing issue. I'm grateful she took the trouble as to be honest, it's not her department or responsibility at all.

I am grateful to have got some lovely new linen delivered today. It was in the sale so I went for the nice stuff and I can't wait to sleep in it.

CoolCarrie · 20/01/2020 20:37

I am grateful that our beautiful irish wolfhound has survived his operation and has got the spark back in his eyes, last Tuesday we thought we might lose him.

Lessstressedhemum · 20/01/2020 20:46

If anyone is interested we have a very long running Gratitudes thread on the spirituality board

Sorry, I've forgotten how to do clicky linksBlush

BunnytheBlueWhale · 20/01/2020 21:03

Ooh love new bedding! @SleepDeprivedElf

That’s really great @CoolCarrie

Thank you @Lessedstressedhemum we can probably find it from that

Today I’m grateful for having had a nice hot dinner and that I’m able to get in the bath shortly and also that DH and I are loved up again (after being anything but this morning!)

I’m also grateful to Hello Fresh which has meant we have had a variety of nice meals, some quite quick, over the past couple of weeks - not sponsored!

DH and I usually get home from work around 7 pm so there isn’t loads of time to spend making dinner especially as we like to cook everything from scratch

Also grateful for the Bounty ice lolly I “found” in the freezer 🙈

Today I’m grateful for my DH dropping me off at the train station so I could be at a seminar on time, for the lovely lunch I had at virtually not cost (leftovers from last night) and that I have a job that I enjoy!

I’m grateful I got the chance to get fresh air at lunchtime and my fitness levels had improved - small wins, but I actually whooped with joy when I finished my C25K training session today.

I’m grateful my daughter is happier and healthier.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 18:36

@CormoranStrike Running can be so exciting in the early days!

Pondering whether to go for a run myself tonight 🤔

Dowser · 21/01/2020 19:26

So grateful that the awful stomach ache I had yesterday has now gone.
And the lovely mild weather we’ve had so far this year.

January has been a breeze..till I probably just ruined then 😂

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 19:38

@Dowser I find that when I feel ill I feel like I’ve taken for granted all the times I didn’t feel ill or wasn’t in pain! Good thing to be grateful for

I'm grateful for a fab meeting about my new job.

HelpMeDrRanj · 21/01/2020 23:01

What a lovely thread!

I'm grateful for my super cuddly 2 year old who's just come into my bed for cuddles. I love snuzzly toddler cuddles!

Also grateful that I managed to stick to a new diet today, day 2 done and feeling motivated at the moment 🤞

BunnytheBlueWhale · 21/01/2020 23:29

Congrats! @SleepDeprivedElf

Awww @HelpMeDrRanj and well done on the diet! I’m trying to be a big more health conscious this year too

Today I’m grateful for my new gloves which are cute and keeping my hands toasty warm!

I’m grateful I have a warm home and warm clothing

I’ve been in and out of hospital. Since December. It really grateful that my husband did EVERYTHING whilst I was away. I’m grateful my mother in law ironed every single piece of clothing. Took her 9 hrs apparently. I’m grateful for the 2 amazing ladies I met in there and plan to keep in touch with! I’m grateful for my wonderful children. Who just made everyone fall in love with them. I’m so blessed in my life. I truly am. Apart from my health. Which is shocking! I’m incredibly lucky.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 22/01/2020 09:16

Oh @Herringbone31 It is wonderful when people step up. I lost my baby DD last year and I was overwhelmed with the love and support we had. Despite this awful thing happening I believe I have lots to be grateful for. Knowing how fragile life is makes me appreciate more who is still with me. I hope your health improves. I do believe no one has everything all of the time.
