I’m upset about some things but I have lots to be grateful for and want to try to acknowledge that more.

Today I’m grateful that I’m meeting a good friend for a nice lunch! I’m also grateful for my health and my family, DH and friends but trying to find something specific to today!

If anyone else wants to share then please do 🍰

@Bunny

I agree. If I had my health. My life would literally be perfect. Absolutely perfect. I know people have that when you say it. But I honestly do feel so lucky. I grew up homeless without food some weeks when I was a child.

I think as long as I have a roof over my head. Food in my fridge. I’m blessed.

There’s a wonderful saying.

The more you wish for. The less you be satisfied. It’s so true. If you wish for more money. You’ll never be rich enough etc...

Ahh Herringbone and BunnytheBlueWhale. Those are really difficult things to deal with. I'm so sorry. What brilliant attitudes you both have to life.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 22/01/2020 15:42

Thank you @SleepDeprivedElf you’re very kind

I'm grateful to have had some money to spend in the sales today. I got some bargain wellies for the 1yo and it was so funny watching him waddling around in them! I picked a new veggie cookbook full of healthy dinners that I'm excited about cooking.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 24/01/2020 20:18

I’m grateful for the lovely dinner I just cooked for myself, the lovely burger I had for lunch (Byron) and for having a free weekend to relax

ColourMyDreams · 24/01/2020 20:25

That my family are happy and healthy. I can't ask for more.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 25/01/2020 21:44

So true @ColourMyDreams

(1) I’m grateful for a relaxed weekend, (2) finding a few things that I love and will get pleasure from using (still have things in boxes in garage since moving and there were a couple of things I wanted) and (3) for a nice warm house in the cold weather

BunnytheBlueWhale · 25/01/2020 21:46

Just realised this is not the first time this week I was grateful for finding something (things I haven’t seen for 6 months +) - I’ve found 3 things in the last few days (4 if you count the charger for one of them)

Today I’m grateful to have the house to myself for a few hours but also to have a lovely DH who should he home early evening. I’m grateful for the lovely breakfast I had and that it’s still the weekend!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 27/01/2020 17:26

I’m grateful that i can go home now and relax as I’m exhausted. I’m grateful I’ve had a busy day so not had time to focus on things that might stress me out. I’m grateful I have nice food waiting for me when I get home.

Back from a long trip and grateful for home and the quiet day to day.

Chucklecheeks01 · 27/01/2020 18:35

I had two subarachnoid hemorrhages last week. I'm alive with no side effects other than horrendous head pain. That should subside soon.

I feel like I've won the lottery.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 27/01/2020 19:35

Oh gosh! @Chucklecheeks01 glad you’re ok

SleepDeprivedElf · 27/01/2020 22:04

Goodness Chucklecheeks, how terrifying, I'm so glad you're okay.

I'm grateful for a very funny game of musical statues with the kids this afternoon.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 29/01/2020 20:11

I'm grateful for my lovely dog who knew I was feeling down and came and jumped up next to me and nuzzled her beautiful head next to my face. Pure love.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 29/01/2020 21:11

Awww I think our animals do know @crestedrobin

Grateful to have such an awesome childminder. My wee kiddo carried his lunch bag to the front door ready to go and play with his friends today- he couldn't wait to go.

It relieves so much guilt about putting him in childcare. She's so flexible I wouldn't have been able to keep a job without her help these last couple of years. And so self effacing- she's mortified if I even say thank you.

SleepDeprivedElf · 29/01/2020 22:37

That sounds like a lovely evening, Bunny.

Yay for your lovely doggy friend, CrestedRobin.

BunnytheBlueWhale · 29/01/2020 23:01

She sounds lovely! @SleepDeprivedElf

I'm grateful that it didn't rain today so we went for a lovely walk by a river. The kids were a bit feral this morning and the walk used up a lot of that pent up energy 😅

We then visited the in laws and they helped brainstorm some ideas for how to improve our house (it needs a fair amount of work!) so I'm also grateful that I have lovely in laws - from reading threads on here I know I'm one of the lucky ones!

BunnytheBlueWhale · 02/02/2020 19:26

I’m grateful for:
my parents
a quiet weekend
my husband has been quite lovely this weekend
