So, if you needed to quickly improvise some nipple tassels....

...how do you think you would accomplish that?

Thinking more about attachment that the tassels themselves.

Isn't this the sort of emergency delivery that Amazon Prime exists for? Though 07:10 might be a bit too early.

MrsTerryPratchett · 08/01/2020 02:21

Your dress down days at work are really specific, huh?

Grin

DH says plasters. I disagree.

OhWellThatsJustGreat · 08/01/2020 02:25

Just cut a circle the right size or of a sanitary towel, it's already sticky on one side?

HesMyLobster · 08/01/2020 02:36

Plasters, obviously!

Dress up day at school? Grin

FelicityBeedle · 08/01/2020 03:05

@Noeuf I may be being thick but as wonderful as the stuff is, how would bondange tape work?
Personally I suggest Jizz, god knows that stuff is sticky

ChardonnaysDistantCousin · 08/01/2020 03:34

Does it have to be right now?

It’s just if you wait until menopause hits you might be able to grow your own, so won’t need to faff around with glue.

TwoZeroTwoZero · 08/01/2020 03:48

I've got some nipple tassels and they came with tit tape, which came in very useful for sticking the insole back into dh's (not so "d" at the moment because his snoring is driving me up the wall) shoe.

CaramelCrunch · 08/01/2020 03:52

If you've still got a child in nappies, then the sticky tabs on those stick to skin pretty well. Arguably better than they do to the nappy.

In terms of the tassels, I'm thinking curtain tie backs? In fact if they were for sufficiently large curtains you could just tie the loops round the back and avoid waxing your nipples altogether, but they would have a large spin range so do watch you don't put someone's eye out, especially if it's for work.

pollywobble · 08/01/2020 06:25

OP take a large corn plaster and dip in glue then glitter to disguise the fake skin colour.
Sew strands of wool/embroidery silks/tinsel through the corn plaster and leave long and dangly.
Trim to an even length
Maybe add a small bauble to each side
Attach to norks by poking nipple through the centre hole and stick on with the glue on the back of the plaster
Twirl and swirl like mad
(if you work out how to get the tassels going in opposite direction, please come back with instructions )

SnugglySnerd · 08/01/2020 06:37

Pollywobble's idea would work I think. Very creative!
Is anybody else wondering what exactly is happening at 7.10? Only half an hour to go!

Mumdiva99 · 08/01/2020 06:38

I want to see the costume for school/work with the nipple tassles. My bet is its for Romans.....

Come on OP how are you getting on?

BecauseReasons · 08/01/2020 06:39

@pollywobble that is genius. OP, if you don't have a corn plaster (or don't want to show your nips) do what pollywobblesaid but with a regular plaster and cover the nips.

katewhinesalot · 08/01/2020 06:41

What happens if you miss the deadline?

Trumpton · 08/01/2020 06:55

15 mins to go before the big reveal !

Cosmo has the answers

Nousernameforme · 08/01/2020 07:40

What did you go with in the end

sashh · 08/01/2020 07:42

OP

Where are you? Hopefully not in A and E. And how did 'it' go?

feesh · 08/01/2020 07:47

Highly decorated Haakaa breast pumps? Might get some bonus milk out too.

ZenNudist · 08/01/2020 08:04

Its nice to know that at 7.10 a mumsnetter was donning nipple tassles stuck on with chocolate.

TwigTheWonderKid · 08/01/2020 08:08

So, the clear sticky things from Command strips worked perfectly. I used two layers and sandwiched the end of the tassel between them. I'll try some more of your other excellent suggestions if there is ever a next time...

I'm sure you'll be grateful that, for your own protection, and to ensure Mumsnet isn't subject to a whole load of lawsuits from users as a result of the undeniable mental anguish it would cause, I will not be posting pictures and for the same reason it's probably best for me not to share any details of why I needed them...

Also, for something a whole lot more professional-looking than I managed (and for those who suggested eyelash glue, you were clearly on to something): bust.com/diy/6667-cheap-n-dirty-diy-no-sew-nipple-tassels.html

Op I am so invested you have to say what it was for....

HairyDogsOfThigh · 08/01/2020 09:13

OP is a tease, firstly with her tassels, then not telling us what the event was that happened at 07.10.

theoriginalmadambee · 08/01/2020 10:25

OP you must give a hint...

Is it your first job as a stripper on the morning shift?
The day after your wedding?
New boss?

Please MN help me on this one.

Gazelda · 08/01/2020 10:52

Maybe OP lives in a street near to a railway station . There's a car they always parks outside hers at 7.10 to avoid paying car park fees. So she went out this morning in her nipple-tasseled glory to deter the driving from leaving his car there.

Maybe.
