Just curious as to what other people would make of this? I was in Jamaica recently, and one night at the bar (in a family hotel), a woman of about 35/40 years old, was wearing a crochet top, with quite large holes in it, with no bra underneath. Breasts and nipples clearly on show. At some points she as chatting with groups of local men, at another point she plonked herself down at the table with me, my DH and some other people. No idea who she was actually with. Is it me, or is this really inappropriate?

I also remember on holiday in Greece when I was a kid this woman was in the hotel pool topless. I remember being quite startled by it. My brother was even more startled when she swam over and tried to help him get on his lilo. You do tend to get more nakedness abroad so I probably wouldn't have been that bothered op

I lived in the Caribbean for several years and can't imagine any of my male friends saying:

"Hey, let's go to one of those family hotels for a good boys' night out!"

Is this all quite true, OP, or are you attempting to paint a particular picture of this woman?

I walked around topless at 15 and my parents had no issues, but then they are German and not so prudish about nudity and breasts. Walking around topless has not made me a deginerate. Breasts are a body part such as legs and feet which are also sometimes sexualized, on wait let's cover it all up so we don' t tempt poor men.

On the weekends the hotel do a good rate for Jamaican's to stay, use the pool, watch the entertainment etc. Friday to Sunday the hotel was swamped with Jamaican's. The women seemed to retire early and I think she would have been chatting to the men who all stay up very late. I actually noticed with the Canadian's as well, that the women go to bed after dinner and the men stay up late. Maybe cultural, I don't know? Whereas, me and DH stay up will about 1am and go to bed at the same time.

Its Jamaica. Its hot as shit out there. I have tig ol bitties and I wore a bikini top for most of my stay over there. Yes people gawked and people joked, family gasped but it was HOT. I'm not killing myself with heatstroke to spare blushes.🤣 So! Maybe this young lady was just feeling the heat?!

I haven't been to Jamaica so I can't specifically comment but I have lived in a hot climate where a lot of skin is often on show. Have also visited quite a few hot countries where it would be wildly innapropriate. I guess it has a lot to do with context.

So what? Just next door to the U.K. in Spain women go to the beach with NO top on. Women of all ages. With children and grandchildren.
Nudity is not a bad thing.

I wouldn't personally wear anything like that but it wouldn't bother me if someone else did, might be difficult not to look though. I used to have a friend years ago who had a top like that and would wear it without a bra on nights out, she liked to attract male attention. Each to their own I think.

Meh, I’d judge inwardly sure. One of my sil wore a see through lace blouse to ’s grans funeral. Completely see through like a net curtain ( like this but with a collar and cap sleeves) so no mistakes. Why? I’m pretty sure she welcomed the attention as did bil.

Some people think everyone needs to see just how sexy they are 24/7. I’m not jealous, much. If it had been me the entire family would have rated it was inappropriate and told me to cover up

I'd personally find it very innapropriate to point that if she had plonked herself down on my table I'd have said something to her or got up and moved. Yes I am prudish and not afraid to admit it. Moreso she done it at a family hotel.. maybe I need to try it 😆 my tits are huge!

No but if a grown woman decides she wants to do that then she should crack on.
The UK also rightly or wrongly doesn’t have the same view of topless women as other countries. A topless 15 year old would draw stares and not all of them innocent in the UK. At least a grown woman can make her own choices and be aware of any safety risks/gawping/lewd comments. It would be a lot for a 15 year old to deal with

You don't need your breast completely exposed to show off your figure. This just reeks of desperation for attention. Would you be happy for a daughter to so the same?

Also, if a man wore totally see through pants on a night out, he'd get thrown out.
