Herbal tea that doesnt taste like I've wiped my arse with an old dish cloth then distilled it in puddle water for 3 days?

Thread title too long?

Anyway I vaguely recall finding some tolerable citrus herbal tea last year then promptly switched back to coffees after my virtue ran out.

Can anyone recommend a nice herbal tea? Brew

Lidl peppermint and licorice is nice.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/12/2019 23:50

Peppermint
Ginger and lemon
Camomile

RosieCockle · 28/12/2019 00:01

Twinings Camomile, Vanilla and Honey. Smells lovely.

I think all green teas taste like this.

Herbal teas taste better but boiled water on its own is nicer imo

SuperLoudPoppingAction · 28/12/2019 00:05

I like pukka three ginger.
It's 2 boxes for £4 in Tesco just now.

Luckingfovely · 28/12/2019 00:06

Try the ones by Pukka - they are the only ones I can tolerate!

The green and blue taste more 'adult' and less sweet. May be called Cleanse, and Detox, or similar.

Savingforarainyday · 28/12/2019 00:07

Three cinnamon is lovely too.
The more you leave it, the better it tastes

Allgirlskidsanddogs · 28/12/2019 00:24

I like Strawberry and Raspberry Twinings but the Strawberry and Kiwis is definitely one to avoid!

Gibbonsgibbonsgibbons · 28/12/2019 00:31

I like yogi tea classic (I don’t like the other varieties I’ve tried).
I hate fruit teas

peachypetite · 28/12/2019 00:34

Pukka are the only ones with any flavour!

madcatladyforever · 28/12/2019 00:37

Grin You want the moon on a stick don't you, there is no such thing. They all smell lovely but taste like shit.

OneHanded · 28/12/2019 00:38

Pukka love tea and yogi teas choco

Howmanysleepsnow · 28/12/2019 00:40

Twinings Superblend turmeric, orange and star anise is surprisingly absolutely lovely.

JessePinkmanYo · 28/12/2019 00:42

Tesco lemon and ginger
Twinnings Cranberry + Blood Orange

DramaAlpaca · 28/12/2019 00:42

They all taste disgusting in my opinion. They promise the earth by smelling delicious but are thoroughly disappointing because they don't taste like they smell at all.

DH says Aldi's lemon and ginger are quite nice, but I don't believe him.

ClientListQueen · 28/12/2019 00:42

Bird and blend
Their gingerbread chai is good

Aworldofmyown · 28/12/2019 00:45

Teapigs tea is lovely, but tbh it sounds like it's just not your cup of tea 😁

AwdBovril · 28/12/2019 00:47

Licorice is quite nice in herbal tea. Be careful about it if you have high blood pressure though.
I quite like limeflower (also called linden, or tilleuil).

I find the fruit teas completely pointless hot, but quite pleasant left to go cold. In summer I make a big jug full each evening for the next day, & keep it in the fridge.

Emmelina · 28/12/2019 00:52

Fruit and infusion teas don’t taste of anything really. There’s a peppermint and licorice tea by pukka which is good. I’ve had a white tea with blackberry which was beautiful though I can’t remember who it was by.

Cinammoncake · 28/12/2019 01:09

Twinings Buttermint tea is pretty good. But it's not a replacement for tea or coffee. That's like wanting a fry up and having a kiwi fruit instead. Decaff coffee? Or something like Rooibos tea

BerwickLad · 28/12/2019 01:14

I like pukka love and pukka night time and heath and heather night time and a chrysanthemum one but tbh I only like them when I want to drink herbal tea. When I want coffee I drink that. Sorry.

akittencalledjesus · 28/12/2019 02:14

Vanilla rooibos or green rooibos. Both Tick Tock and Dragonfly are good brands for those flavours.

nachthexe · 28/12/2019 02:27

Peppermint (preferably stash)
Peppermint Licorice (the aveda one)
That’s it.
The rest taste like arse.

scaryteacher · 28/12/2019 02:45

Teapigs Apple and Cinnamon or their Spiced Winter Red. I don't normally like 'stinky' (aka herbal teas), but those (albeit fruit teas) are great, with a little bit of honey in them.

TeaAndStrumpets · 28/12/2019 03:09

Pukka Three Mint is lovely, also their Ginger.
