It's Christmas Eve!! (I'm possibly as excited as dd2 Xmas Grin I love Christmas)

We're both up, dd2 is dressed, and I'm off to get dd1 up & get myself dressed in a minute so we can have a walk to the market for sprouts.

When we get in, they have my gifts to wrap (they're very pleased with themselves; I'm slightly worried but sure what they've picked will be lovely). I'll prep tomorrow's dinner with a Wine then my friend is calling with tomorrow's dessert that she's made for us.

What about all of you? Are you all sorted for tomorrow? Or has anyone yet to brave the supermarket/wrapping?

Working!
Then (in no particular order): hoover and dusting/scrub kitchen and bathroom, up, boil the spuds (thanks for the tip o another thread) and make the soup for tomorrow, write out a timeline for cooking, wrap the presents, buy some nice bread, make dinner, put away the laundry... Oh and decorate the cake.

And - thank goodness for Amazon Now delivery (someone didn't do his shopping, despite numerous reminders!)

We all love Christmas here, we even celebrate Christmas Eve Eve. So last night DD and her boyfriend made a gingerbread house, then they watched Home Alone 2 with me and DH and we drank hot chocolate with all the trimmings.

Today, I need to finish wrapping presents, put away a tonne of laundry and run the Hoover on. As per tradition we will all go for a walk later, then watch Polar Express while snacking on treats.

But as we speak, I'm drinking coffee and eating gingerbread while browsing Pinterest trying to decide on Christmas outfits.

We've just had a lovely breakfast with friends and our ds1 and ds2. Ds2 is now napping, i'm eating trifle in bed and dh is doing some building work with ds1 outside. Dh is then going to the pub for a few drinks with his work friends, i'm taking ds to the park then family church service, dinner and bed. Lovely!

For us Christmas starts tonight at around 6 o'clock.
So I did the last of the cleaning, DS got the last bits from the shop (everybody who possibly can stops working at around two o'clock until the 27th), DD is in the kitchen for last minute baking.

The DC are more or less adults now, so only a few presents - (no stokings, Santa, FC here - presents always were from the parents and only for children - after all the three kings brought gifts for the child not for Josef, Anna, Elisabeth and Mary als well Grin - made life so much easier).

Tonight I'll try - probably in vain - to beat DD at Quirkle. And DS will assemble his millionth Lego set.
