We needed a new machine in a hurry after our last one packed up. I just looked at which models were on sale and how they compared with others. We needed one quickly, and didn't have time to save for an expensive one. Does anyone really google "Is this washing machine likely to explode?" before making a purchase. Now, yes probably, but not 5 years ago!

Got an email from Hotpoint. Link to like for like replacement. Ordered my new machine for free which has been booked for delivery next week.

Does anyone know anything about the Indesit washer dryer? We bought ours from argos about two years ago and from the word go it's been a heap of shit and I have never trusted it

Me too. Surprisingly painless, I expected them to at least try to charge for connection if not delivery. Hopefully it's all straight forward from here. An upside is that I've discovered cool wash is absolutely fine for s standard wash, I never trusted it before. I'll probably stick with that.

I'm going to have to call the helpline, I can't get past the address page as there's no available slots. FFS.

New machine arriving on the 31st!

Hmm... Machine was due to be delivered today but no washing machine, no phone call, I waited in all day, and the helpline told me just to wait for someone to call me. So not straight forward after all! I hope other people have had better experiences.

@BrendasUmbrella mine arrived on time last week. Got an email the day before with delivery slot. Hope you get it sorted.

Got my lovely new upgraded machine last week and it is much better than the one I had - surprisingly painless in the end.

My replacement is supposed to be delivered tomorrow but I've not had an email with a time slot. Bit worried that I'll wait in all day for nothing!

@CanoeDoYouThinkYouAre - I didn't get the email either but got a text at 7am on the appointed day advising 2hr slot and they arrive 3 minutes into it. Very smooth and easy.
