Are your Christmas decorations already up?

If so, when did you put them up?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 24/11/2019 21:55

Noooo. It's November.

nitgel · 24/11/2019 21:55

No and Christmas seems early everywhere Confused

ImportantWater · 24/11/2019 21:57

No. I like to do the 12 days of Christmas so they don’t come down until 6 Jan or whenever it is. Also, real tree. It would be a pile of twigs by Christmas if I put it up now.

Only in the hall and only because my DD was about to pop. Its bought peace and quiet this last week. The rest will go up from the 1st.

Angie6868 · 24/11/2019 21:58

Mine goes up about a week before Christmas and comes down before the end of December

bettybyebye · 24/11/2019 22:00

No, because it’s November. My FB feed has been full of people doing Christmas stuff this weekend, it’s ridiculous. I love Christmas but FFS

Buscake · 24/11/2019 22:01

Fuck no!

FrenchSchnoodle · 24/11/2019 22:02

Jesus no. Its still bloody November

raspberryk · 24/11/2019 22:03

No! I don't want my decorations to be up for much more than a week!

MashedSpud · 24/11/2019 22:04

No. We usually put them up in the first week of December.

Bonkersblond · 24/11/2019 22:05

Absolutely not, I’m surprised by the amount of people who have.

ParkheadParadise · 24/11/2019 22:07

No not in November. Dd's birthday is the beginning of December. Christmas decorations will go up after her birthday card's come down.

Silentlysinking101 · 24/11/2019 22:07

Yes and I don't care! Dd is with her dad most weekends between now and Christmas so the tree has gone up this weekend and I will do her room during the week when she isn't here.

Parker231 · 24/11/2019 22:07

Decorations will go up around 20 December and down the morning of 31 December. Same timescale every year.

NeverGotMyPuppy · 24/11/2019 22:07

Is it me or does it all seem really early this year? I know shops will always start early but the amount of houses I've seen with lights up?!?!

SnowsInWater · 24/11/2019 22:07

Ours will go up on 1st December, it would usually be the weekend after but we are away. Big displays of outdoor lights, Santa on the roof etc. are a thing here (Sydney) and I saw a couple of people putting them up yesterday but I don't know if they have switched them on yet.

sohypnotic · 24/11/2019 22:18

Half up - I have room decorations, garlands and ornaments out in 4 rooms, but haven't done either of my big trees yet. And before anyone asks, no I will not be sick of them of them by Christmas. I LOVE Christmas (and have a very tolerant DH) I bought 8 new decorations this weekend at a lovely garden Centre and Christmas market, and also squeezed in 3 Christmas films. I've also enjoyed stollen, mince pies and a Lindt chocolate Santa already this year [santa]

IceBearRocks · 24/11/2019 22:19

Nope its November !!!

TowerRingInferno · 24/11/2019 22:25

No!

Never until the 20-something of December. Am aware that I’m in a minority on this one.

onemouseplace · 24/11/2019 22:26

No, it's still bloody November.

EmmiJay · 24/11/2019 22:28

Mines are going up on the 1st December. All over my SM people have been putting up trees since last week! I feel terribly grown up not bowing to the pressure and putting it up for fear of FOMO Grin

Ilikesweetpeas · 24/11/2019 22:29

No, for me Christmas is in December! Tree and decs will go up on Sunday

Keepmewarm · 24/11/2019 22:29

Nope. It’s November.

Nonnymum · 24/11/2019 22:29

Of course not its only November!

PickAChew · 24/11/2019 22:30
