I haven’t watched the interview, but heard reports of the content. I just find it unbelievable he claims he can’t remember meeting a woman he had his arm around! Despicable. Does anyone believe him?

Show me your friend and I'll tell you your character....

curiousgeorgieismyname · 16/11/2019 23:39

Have you seen One of the comments that says it was closed for refurb at that time. Wouldn’t that be satusfying if there was proof he wasn’t lying about his whereabouts!

Encyclo · 16/11/2019 23:40

The google reviews for Pizza Express are inspired 😂😂

curiousgeorgieismyname · 16/11/2019 23:40

1). Track down old acquaintance
2). Make sure they know all ties are severed
3). Ask them for money.

And for point 2 - ensure I stay with them in their house for 4 days, just to be sure they know I'm done with them

Gardai · 16/11/2019 23:53

It appears they get away with murder, nothing sticks as they close ranks. It’s like some sinister cult.

The royal PR advisors are clearly so out of touch with social media and internet culture! Prince Andrew just turned himself into a meme and the viral reach will be priceless

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 17/11/2019 00:29

@JinglingHellsBells I think there are a lot of posters here who have decided what they want to believe and nothing he said would make any difference at all.

Not so in my case. Were he ever to be subjected to the judicial process, or questioning by the police, I would frankly still be extremely sceptical, however, I would say nothing has been proved until the outcome. But that is not going to happen.

If he is innocent, why not cooperate with the Police and the FBI instead of his highly paid lawyers, instead of employing a dodgy memory as an evasion technique and a means of prevarication? If you were innocent wouldn't you do this? Wouldn't you want to clear your name? Wouldn't you want to help those poor women who were the same age as your daughters, by providing the police with all the details you can? Especially if you were honourable?

As it is he is getting privileges no one else in his circumstances would, by giving an interview on TV. He will avoid answering for anything because of his status. That should not sit well with you.

lolaflores · 17/11/2019 00:44

Catherineofaragonsprayerbook so eloquently put. A very cool appraisal of what he ought to be doing compared to the crazed decision to do an interview. His thought process must have gone along the lines of "I shall be emphatic in my denial. Not plausible. That bit is unnecessary. I'm Royal. They have to believe me. It's the law"

AnyMinuteNow · 17/11/2019 00:45

How was that PR exactly?
If his pr team were responsible for that they should hang their heads in shame.
He looks unwell
Clammy
Shifty
Dodged direct questions, repeatedly.
Showed no disgust at his 'friends' involvement with young girls, only that they shouldn't be 'seen' together any more.
Surely, if you've been pr'd you would be scripted to talk about your feelings of sadness for girls subjected to his convicted friend's treatment of them. None. At. All. What is wrong with him?

I think this is probably the first time I've seen PA speaking/interviewed, and I am shocked at his lack of emotions.

He acted surprised, laughed as if first time heard, etc, which can only have been acting.

I thought he might have turned a blind eye to things before he gave this interview, I couldn't have made comment at all as to his implication in any of it,but his responses implicate him.

Emily did a good and poor job. I think enough of a good job though for him to show himself for who he is and his awkward position in this.

He absolutely should face investigation.

Someone tell me the point of 'his people' if not to seek and share intel on his acquaintances. You cannot tell me that intelligence services knew nothing of the actions and links of and between these men (epstein/trump/pa/ etc)

Starksforthewin · 17/11/2019 01:01

Actually, if the Royal Family wanted to throw Markle “under the bus” as it were' there is plenty more stuff “out there” which will probably be revealed in the fullness of time.
I don’t think the two are worth conflating.
Be interesting to see how fast MN deletes this thread the way they do those that levy criticism at Markle.

Bluerussian · 17/11/2019 01:13

Let's be fair, Meghan hasn't been accused of sleeping with odd people at house parties, she's done nothing wrong.

Andrew doesn't appear to have done anything illegal albeit unsavoury if he did sleep with that girl. However I cannot see any reason for him to deny it, he was single and if he didn't know she was coerced, where's the crime? The fact that she was 17 or 19 at the time is neither here nor there - though it is flipping confusing that the age of consent differs from state to state in the USA. I know it is 17 in New York. Neither Epstein nor Ghislane Maxwell would have told anyone that the girl was forced in any way.

I do wonder if Ms Maxwell will face repercussions. Plenty of others too, including well known American politicians, academics, research scientists - whom Epstein supported positively in various ways. So many were in thrall of Epstein (I read about that a while ago). Goodness only knows what it is about people like him that they can exert such power.

Wildorchidz · 17/11/2019 03:29

*@Pixxie7

Totally think he is did sleep with her but not convinced she is completely innocent.*

Can you elaborate? Or are you just talking shite???

Pixxie7 · 17/11/2019 03:39

Sure. I can’t help thinking that it isn’t black and white. We’re these girls/women forced to go there ? We’re they raped ? If so why wait this long to tell anyone ? What did they get out of it. Her body language in the photo doesn’t suggest she is distressed.

StartupRepair · 17/11/2019 04:42

Maybe think about the power differential between extremely rich and powerful middle-aged white men and teenage girls whose parents didn't seem to keep sufficient track of them. See anything wrong?

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 04:56

Bullshit detector was on alert there. He exposed himself as the man he is. Creepy and pompous. When in a hole stop digging. Unless you are an arrogant royal narcissist and you can

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 05:04

.. and don't bring your daughter into it and Pizza bloody Express!

Inkanta · 17/11/2019 05:16

Pizza Hut I mean.

SunsetBoulevard3 · 17/11/2019 05:54

There was something really deeply unpleasant about the man. He made my skin crawl.
