I haven’t watched the interview, but heard reports of the content. I just find it unbelievable he claims he can’t remember meeting a woman he had his arm around! Despicable. Does anyone believe him?

I thought Emily did an excellent interview. Not aggressive, lulled him into a false sense of security, gave him a big shovel and let him keep digging.

He claimed he always wore a suit and tie when out in London. Guarantee there will be photos of him in a shirt and jeans.
Claimed he couldnt sweat because of medication,. Guarantee there will be photos showing him sweating whilst he was on the medication

Cant the visit to Pizza Xpress be confirmed and also his passport would show where and when he travelled.

Surely his 'staff' would be able to confirm what he was doing.

He's not sure if he can give a statement as he is bound by his lawyers. Bound by what exactly..? Bound by his need to protect his own interests.

I thought it was a terrible interview. She asked the questions, didn't follow up, gave him his platform to deny it and drip in how he's royal, navy, nspcc, ambassador etc.

She could have got some hard hitting questions in there, and she just let it go. Clearly given instructions on how she was to handle it. Ie not give him a hard time or he'd end the interview.

I do agree with you Bluntness100. But I did like the way she made him repeat his denials/confirm what he was doing. Just so in the future he cant say "oh, I didnt mean that".

I agree, if they had sent in a hard man he would have been on the defensive, but she kept picking away at the scabs, was polite but not deferential and was a bloody woman . I think it really threw him, it was clear she didn't believe a lot of his answers and I doubt if anyone has ever let him see that before. I wouldn't want to be on his staff for the next few weeks, I would be locking up the throwing knives.......

She got out of it what she wanted as a journalist - a scoop. This interview won’t be forgotten any time soon (I suspect it will haunt Andrew for some time to come).
